A big thank you to @AstburyResort for hosting the inaugural Jeff Bezos Cup, where 24 Clav greats swapped bats for clubs and did battle over a gruelling 18 holes. Based on the turnout and talent on show (from most), this account may soon be renamed @ClaverleyGC. ⛳️ 🍻 🦫

We are delighted to announce that we have been accepted into the @WIECL_Cricket for 2026, bringing an offering of midweek socially competitive cricket at Claverley, to compliment our 1st XI participation in the @worc_cl. 🏏 🍻 🦫

A look back to a very special day on 13th July, as a Claverley Legends XI took on a Penn Legends XI in the inaugural Louise Barnes Trophy match. The visitors were worthy winners, and it was fantastic to see a packed house, supporting the day and raising funds for @supportcjd. ❤️

Another splendid evening on Thursday, as we held the final Farmcote Fumblers match of the season. It went down to the last ball with Claverley requiring 4, and we managed to creep one over the boundary for the win. It meant the Series ended fittingly in a 1-1 draw.

At the halfway stage of the season, we sit 10th out of 12 in @Worc_cl Division Four: 11 Played 4 Won 7 Lost Some long-term injuries to key players aren’t helping, but with a few new faces, and some old familiar ones, we’ll continue to Fight the Good Fight. Up the Clav! 🦫 🍻

His 2025 season stats were phenomenal, scoring 418 runs at an average of 104.50 across six games. 53* 74 106 20 70 95* 🔥

Despite a good win on Saturday, our star of the season Aroon “Reggie” Iqbal suffered an Achilles injury whilst on 95*, likely ruling him out for the rest of the season. He’ll be a huge miss, but we wish him all the best for a speedy recovery, and to come back stronger in 2026! ❤️

The Clav remain consistently inconsistent with a convincing 123-run win, followed by a 2-wicket defeat. Standouts from Week 5 were Tom Grainger’s 133 and Elliot Brooks’ blistering 95* off 51 balls. Week 6 performer was Aroon Iqbal, continuing his fine form, scoring 70.

It’s been a tale of two halves for the Clav so far this season. Two 6-wicket defeats, followed by a 201-run win and a 163-run win. Standout individual performances both came last week, with skipper Henry Roberts scoring his maiden century (124), and Aroon Iqbal smashing 106. 👏👏

In the Seconds, Umar Ijaz won’t know whether to laugh or cry, top performer with bat and ball (51* and 3-24 off 9) but still ending up on the losing side.

Top scorer for the 1sts was Tom Grainger with 95 while Aroon Iqbal got six wickets for 45 runs. 💪🏽

GAME WEEK 21 RESULTS 🏏 🏏 🏏 Anything could happen in @Worc_cl Div 4, frankly, going into the final weekend after Claverley 1sts enjoyed a 185-run victory over @RomsleyOfficial. Our 2nds fell short against @alveleycc losing by 23 runs in Div 6. @MNEGlobal

Highlight for the Firsts was 58 for Albert Roberts while the Seconds saw Sak Nasar score exactly the same. 🤔

GAME WEEK 20 RESULTS 🏏 🏏 🏏 A pretty rotten weekend with our Firsts falling to a seven wicket defeat against @Worcester_CC Seconds. Even worse for the Seconds who were crushed by 210 runs by @CricketColwall Seconds. @MNEGlobal
