My Mom, EVELYN LEE GALE (May 21, 1920~Jan. 17, 2014) was an original WWII Women's Army Corps (WAC). Lynn was one of the 1st women to serve in the U.S. military, where she met my father, a major at West Point. He deserted our family and never helped to support us. As an RN, she raised 4 kids by herself working at a doctor's office in the morning and hospital from 3:00 - 11:00 at night. She's my hero. I love her more every day. Always have. Always will.
