@ACCinTouch How many cardiologists does it take to change a heart? @grok: Depends on how clogged it is, I’d say one for the rhythm and another for the valves. But honestly, just give it a good scare with a treadmill test!

⚠️ Do you hear highway, train, or airplane noise where you live? 🚊🚗✈️ Using data from ~1M adults in the greater Houston area, we examined road, aviation, and rail transportation noise and found that higher exposure (especially rail) was associated with higher risk of incident type 2 diabetes. A reminder that cardiometabolic risk is shaped not only by individual behaviors, but also by the environments we live in. Grateful to an incredible multidisciplinary team. @Sadeer_AlKindi @khurramn1 @IzzaShahid_ @OmarHahad @C3PH_HM @HMethodistCV @MethodistHosp 📄Read more: …ubs.pericles-prod.literatumonline.com/doi/10.1111/do…

A little late, but very grateful to share that I matched Cardiology at Allegheny General Hospital 🫀❤️ So grateful to be staying at my home program and deeply thankful for the mentors and fellows who believed in me and supported me throughout this journey. I’m also thankful for the wonderful cardiologists I met along the interview trail. Extremely excited for what’s ahead!✨ @AHNIMres @AHNCVFellows

One of the reasons why it is so difficult to maintain weight loss is because adipose issue retains an epigenetic memory of obesity after weight loss. nature.com/articles/s4158…

Very pleased to have been given the opportunity to present an invited talk at an exciting symposium at the Society for Neuroscience meeting earlier today on “Advancing Organoids: Synergizing Tissue Engineering and Neurotechnology Development”. The title of my talk was “3D Bioelectronics for Organoid Research,” and I covered our most recent work, including many unpublished advances, on 3D multifunctional mesoscale frameworks (electronics, optoelectronics, microfluidics and micromechanics) for spheroids, organoids and assembloids. Very powerful set of speakers, covering diverse aspects in biology, neuroscience and neurotechnology, including Prof. @DuyguKuzum (@UCSDJacobs), Prof. Orly Reiner (@WeizmannScience) and Prof. @Sergiu_P_Pasca (@Stanford). Thanks to Prof. @DuyguKuzum (@UCSDJacobs) and to Dr. Grace Hwang (@NIH) for organizing the event and for inviting me to participate. Great also to connect with the @NeuroLuxInc team -- poised to add a range of new products to their lineup, including those for organoids. Hot scientific topics, cool wireless technologies and lots of interest!
