@ChrisMartzWX It's got to the point where anyone who works outside can feel the difference from the 80s and 90s. Don't even need data anymore, obviously happening

It’s amazing the amount of people on here that appear to think pensioners had it easy. When I got married we scraped enough money to put a deposit on a 1 bedroom flat. Everything we had was second hand & clothes were a luxury & waited for Xmas & birthdays. No holidays. Never went out to restaurants as couldn’t afford it so cooked meals from scratch. We lived pay packet to pay packet. So no we didn’t have it easier we just had different priorities, saved up until we could afford to buy something & got on with life with no free handouts.

@Jenny_1884 Lol. There are the weak generation. Cheap housing, guatenteed job, benefited from the 90s housing increase, now just sitting on property money demanding the workers pay for their heating

@JohnJohnStewart It's bizarre to see you keep saying stuff like this when you know by now it isn't true. Like you're so far down the rabbit hole you can't back out

There is something perverse about this video. Bus speeds in London are at their lowest level. Traffic congestion is at its worst ever. Painters, plumbers, delivery vans, cabbies stuck in traffic. Prices rise. Yet none of this seems to matter to LCC's Simon Munk. Myopic.

@7Kiwi @IanTwitts Nope. Your maths is well out. You're confusing MW with MWh. I bet you always go for the extended warranty when offered

@Matt_VickersMP The only government in my lifetime who has made a valid attempt to clear up a mess successfully was Blairs government.

Every single Labour government wrecks our economy. This one is no different. Unemployment up. Taxes up. The only growth is in the national debt. It is always the Conservatives who clear up Labour's mess. We are the only party that can be trusted with our economy.

Met a friend yesterday who has now sold his UK home, moving full time to his Villa in Portugal. Left his very well paid UK based job & will retire/do some consultancy. The exodus of wealth & contributors from the UK is extraordinary. Its very sad to see this IMO

@RTCORGUK Lol. 2 printer labels that just happen to be totally unworn and freshly stuck on. Grow up. I do regularly display my union flag, but raise the colours people there today were couple of pissed up bums, hassling white owned businesses because they didn't want them in their pub

SPOTTED IN STIRCHLEY, BIRMINGHAM Today, paid shipped in Antifa agitators marched in Stirchley to protest flags we raised locally. An inverted red triangle is a symbol used by Hamas and pro-Palestinian supporters. The far left labels us hateful extremists for flying our flags and calling for unity. Yet hey put up stickers inciting violence against police and disrespecting the poppy, a symbol of our war heroes.

Labour want to TAX you every single year just for owning your home If your home is worth more than £500,000, Labour want you to pay 0.54% EVERY year. Here’s what that looks like: ↳ £550,000 = £2,970 a year ↳ £600,000 = £3,240 a year ↳ £700,000 = £3,780 a year ↳ £800,000 = £4,320 a year ↳ £1,000,000 = £5,400 a year Just for OWNING your home You’ve already paid stamp duty, income tax, council tax… now forced to pay this new property tax This is a SCAM by the government

@meirionj America has land tax as well though. Annual tax would sort out the expensive farmland and the only generation sitting on property and doing nothing productive

@darrengrimes We could Frack enough gas to keep us energy independent for the next 150 years.....and we would have the lowest energy costs in all of Europe by a country mile....just saying....

@tomhfh @LaurenMaeve You'd get a shock if you were alive in the 80s. Regular rolling outages. One of the benefits of a dispersed production network is you don't ha e to produce as much to provide for all needs, as you can respond to local demand quicker. Makes it cheaper

Since 2008, British electricity production has plummeted by 25%. On a per capita basis it has crashed by a third. Less energy means more expensive energy, slower growth, less productivity, and worse living standards.

@tomhfh Should do what texts does. Change that life tax into an annual land tax. Makes land and housing a lot cheaper as it becomes use it or pay

Trump brags about eliminating inheritance tax for farmers - saving their farms from the death duty induced sales that were destroying them generation after generation. An uncomfortable Keir Starmer sits next to him. Having just imposed inheritance tax on family farms.

I am no engineer, but building these was always a bad idea! Pitting fast moving cyclists with slow moving people seems to me something we should always avoid by design. Surprisingly controversial! 🤔🤔🤔
