I'm not saying you can't have fun or can't play legitimately, but you should know the economy is driven by bots and RMT and player interaction neutered subsequently.

@HiThereJosh It's not weird at all if you've played non-bandai TCGs. OP TCG is simply less interactive and that's fine. There's a reason content creators are able to sell "guides" for decks. The game is still fun and deck building is interesting (well, will be when we're caught up with JPN)

One of the weirdest things I hear people often say is that One Piece is uninteractive because it doesn't have a stack. But *every attack* is an interaction! Sure, you're not usually reacting with a "spell" in the Magic sense, but counter is THE main mechanic ..

@davegtowncs @anomalyxd Pokemon and other TCGs avoid this by not acknowledging the secondary market. Valve on the other hand run a first party market for their items and make money off of them having value. That's the big difference.

The New York State Attorney General are suing Valve for promoting illegal gambling with cases. This could affect all skins in CS2. That's likely why Valve focus on the Armory Pass and Genesis Terminal and have strayed away from cases. For skins... this might be bad. Thoughts?

@NeverSinkDev I am hoping this is a preview of changes to come to other classes. (Personably hoping for a large overhaul come next season). And to be fair, D2 has for 20+ years been dominated by Sorc and Paladin. It's not like the game has had any balance at all in any patch.

I have some bitter feelings about the new Diablo 2 class that Blizzard shadowdropped after playing it through normal. (Warning, just another Blizzard Rant) The new warlock class can: - Use ANY 2H in one hand + shield. Keep 2H damage. - Fire skills put Druid/Sorc to shame in terms of coverage. - Has own Teleport skill with built-in 'curse-on-hit' - Demons all provide massive auras+buffs on top - Other trees also seem crazy good New broken content is and can be fun. So what is my issue? Warlock just has EVERYTHING and more. Teleport from sorc, curses from necro, summon buffs from druid, great AoEs, shield + 2H weapon damage or 2H skill boosts. D2 has not received patches in years. The first major patch it received was to sell this OP class. I don't want this excellent game to be stuck with a class that just outshines everything else. I'm not confident at all that Blizzard will care to balance this later either. Now I want to give Blizzard a bit of credit here. The QOL updates for D2 are really nice (loot filter, gem/rune tabs etc), even if they're sold at a steep price. However, right now my feelings about the DLC are mixed at best.

Here’s a conservative breakdown of what 10+ years at a FAANG would look like: Example: Yearly total comp (common range): $180K–$400K 10 years total comp: $1.8M–$4M Typical breakdown: -Base: $140K–$220K -Bonus: 10–25% -RSUs: $30K–$200K+/yr (4 year vest) -401k match: $8K–$15K/yr -ESPP discounts + refresh grants Low end savings ($180K avg): After taxes (~30%) ≈ $126K take-home If you saved just 15% = ~$19K/yr 10 years = ~$190K saved Mid comp savings ($275K avg): After tax ≈ ~$190K 15% saved = ~$28K/yr 10 years = ~$280K saved If you left the RSUs alone you could realistically be a millionaire. That’s 12–24 months of living expenses for most households NOT INCLUDING stock appreciation. In my four years at Amzn, for example, the stock 4x’d and I still have most of the RSUs. Anyone close to zero did something wrong.
