Jensen Huang has responded to the comments calling DLSS 5 AI slop: "First of all, they're completely wrong. The reason for that is because, as I have explained very carefully, DLSS 5 fuses controllability of the geometry and textures and everything about the game with generative AI. It’s not post-processing, it’s not post-processing at the frame level, it’s generative control at the geometry level." He has also added: "This is very different than generative AI; it’s content-control generative AI. That’s why we call it neural rendering" What are your thoughts on this?

@KeithMontalbo It is getting less obvious unfortunately. A lot of the old tells don't work anymore. If it wasn't for the belts, and a lot of their older work being so obviously traced, I might have argued to give them the benefit of the doubt

@LavenderGhast Should say, I love what they did with V. I was very skeptical if they could meet the Witchers quality of writing with a player self insert, so I'm glad they didn't go that direction

@LavenderGhast The pre-release lie that always bothered me was making V seem like "your" character. V is a fully developed character with their own values and goals along the lines of Geralt. The push to make it look like you had total control over V like a tabletop character felt misguided.

Once you play through it a few times you realize just how on rails it really is. I realized I don't really make any choices and everything always plays out identical except for which ending you choose at the very end, at most its a better disguised Bethesda "Yes" "Yes" angry "Yes" sarcastic Still an enjoyable time. Just hope they actually add real choices with changes and consequences in the sequel. PL was a step in the right direction giving the different endings long build ups and pay off's but by now you expect roleplaying games to have more than just the one real choice you get to make always being the endings. And that is the only thing that really changes and you always pick it right near the end. With everything before is just an illusion of choice.
