You pay exactly what the reservation says when you pick up the car. They never have added on any extra fees other than what was shown when I booked it

American rented a vehicle for $50 a day for 17 days from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the cost was $850.00
But then came the fees…
- Sales Tax: $92.47
- Concession Recovery Fee: $98.42
- Customer Facility Charge: $45
- Tourism Commission Assessment Rec: $29.75
- Vehicle License Assessment Recovery Fee: $29.75
Estimated Total: $1,151.51
That’s $301.51 in taxes and fees to rent a vehicle

@koto2992 @chabot56 @WallStreetApes Idk about other rental companies but I use @Enterprise and the first thing is shows me when searching for a rental is the total cost. Then it breaks down the fees right before finalizing the reservation

It shows you all of that when you book it.
And you have to pay upfront, not when you return it…

Fuji Speedway, located in Shizuoka, Japan, near Mount Fuji, is a historic FIA Grade 1 race circuit known for one of the longest straights in motorsport 1.5km.
It hosted the first Japanese Formula One Grand Prix in 1976 and returned for the 2007–2008 seasons after a major redesign by Hermann Tilke.
The major redesign of Fuji Speedway, which reopened in April 2005 to meet Formula 1 standards, was part of a massive investment by Toyota Motor Corporation to modernize the facility.
While the specific, exact cost of the track redesign itself is not publicly disclosed as a standalone figure, the project was described as being accomplished at "enormous cost" and was part of a broader, multi-million dollar effort to upgrade the circuit and its infrastructure for its return to the F1 calendar.
It’s a massive shame that Toyota had to drop the circuit due to the financial crisis considering the money it took to develop the new layout.
A fantastic circuit which should be on the calendar but I doubt will ever return.

Sounds like it'll be a full weekend of activities for the CARS Tour at Nashville Fairgrounds next month. Among other big plans being made for that race.
I covered the SRX races at the Fairgrounds and remember what that felt like in scale. This could be even bigger than that.

I went to Nashville Fairgrounds yesterday to test @HoosierTire for the upcoming @CARSTour race there on April 11th. I had a lot of fun. I hadn't ran a lap there since middle of 1999. I raced there a dozen times in the mid 1990s when it was a hotbed for Late Model Stocks. You'd have 30 cars for a weekly 100 lap feature. It was amazing. Somehow the Late Model Stock footprint receded to western Tennessee over the years. Anyhow, the track is fast. There are some weeper issues and a massive bump off turn 2 but it wasn't nothing of real concern. We also got a chance to test mufflers. The noise ordinance makes them a requirement. Speaking of which, Marcus Smith wants to build a sophisticated sound barrier around the track once the local government can get on board. Another conversation for another time. It was emotional to make those laps yesterday. Like visiting an old friend and realizing they still were the same person you always admired. Cant wait to have our Pro and Late Model Stock cars there next month. We plan to be in town at Tootsies on Thursday evening to promote the tour and hopefully allow some folks to meet our drivers. For ballast coming out of the Patrick Staropoli car late in the race at Las Vegas, he has had his crew chief Patrick Donahue, car chief Dillon Bassett and engineer Morgan Olsen have been suspended for four races.

@A_S12 Sorry, not a fan of NFS. Went to the first SRX race there and the place was a wreck. I know it has history and a prime location, but I wouldn't trade a race at NSS for it.

SMI wouldn't necessarily sell Nashville Superspeedway if it gets Cup race at the Fairgrounds: "Nashville’s a big enough market ... to support multiple cup races a year. Historically, Talladega, Daytona and larger motorsports markets have two races a year." nashvillescene.com/news/pithinthe…

@PPistone I’m not sure it’s their season opener or not, but brownstown speedway in Indiana always has a Lucas oil late model dirt series race early in the year called the “Indiana Icebreaker”
