"The Pandora Papers issue relates to a structured estate transfer system in which I saved some money for my family. It is open for everyone to verify. Every week, I visit a school and a hospital, and in each place I go, I spend no less than ₦10 million. You can start monitoring it from today. I only want to see Nigeria work for young Nigerians. Go and investigate anything I have done in my life. If you find any criminality, I will stop campaigning." —Mr. Peter Obi, NDC presidential candidate.

Insecurity: Tinubu never promised to perform magic — Oshiomhole

Rufai Oseni: “Arabambi said you took a lot of money from Labour Party donations during the last election, and he claims to have evidence.” Mr Peter Obi: “If the so-called Arabambi can provide evidence from any account showing that even 1 percent of what he alleged is missing, I will stop campaigning for the 2027 election. In fact, I may add him to the lawsuit so he can come to court and provide the evidence, just that he don't have address.”

Rufai Oseni: “You keep criticizing President Tinubu over the removal of fuel subsidy. What would you have done differently?” Mr Peter Obi: “I didn't criticize Tinubu for removing the subsidy. I said I would have removed it, but in an organized manner. I wouldn't have announced it at my inauguration. I would have first sat down with operators in the industry because we know there is a lot of crim!nality around the subsidy. I would remove it to determine the exact amount being spent on subsidy and also address the issue of exchange rate deregulation. But in doing these things, the most important thing is to fight corruption head-on. Since the subsidy was removed, what has been the impact on the average Nigerian? We have even borrowed more money than we used to when subsidy was still in place.” — NDC presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi.
