🚨 Alert! Crypto Leaks' investigative journalism posts are being shadow banned on X after extraordinary manipulation of its algorithms @elonmusk @Safety Our cases are produced by meticulous law-abiding undercover journalism, where corrupt parties expose their own actions on covertly recorded video. The corrupt parties we cover are often engaged in serious wrongdoing, and are often the subject of serial investigations owing to ongoing patterns of behavior. We stand by our work. In over 4 years of operation, no story or evidence we have published has ever proven false, and we have never been sued for defamation. Meanwhile, those we expose often have an enormous incentive to suppress our content. For example, our last exposé "Arkham in Türkiye" could have very serious regulatory and legal consequences for Arkham Intelligence and its executives, and may have already spurred authorities to investigate. The exposé covers their attempts to manipulate the SPK (roughly analogous to the SEC in America) and the use of sex workers to bribe a key employee of Galatasaray S.K., a Champions League football club. This behavior occurs within the context of other actions that we have previously exposed. Our exposé is based upon legally-obtained covert recordings of Arkham's Head of Turkey, who has since deleted all his online profile information associating him with Arkham (Google still caches his association with Arkham, which can currently be seen by searching "who is Efe Büken," until they scrub that information too). Arkham is an organization that employs individuals who have mastered the tools of online manipulation, which has helped it to make vast fortunes by persuading people to purchase their cryptocurrencies. Tokens that Miguel Morel, Arkham's CEO, have been involved with, include Reserve (down 98% from the peak) and Arkham's token (down 97% from the peak). Meanwhile, they appear to have profited from the creation of serious disinformation that manipulated token markets on a massive scale (as per our Case No. 1 and 2). There is an iceberg of victims. Meanwhile, Arkham and Miguel Morel have made tremendous profits. Since 2022, according to online sources we have seen, Miguel has been building his Arkham polo team, and an international stable of polo ponies – even though Arkham did not appear to launch a product until July 2023, and the only earlier activity we are have seen involved the creation and dissemination of serious disinformation in June 2021, which evidence we have previously shared appears to indicate relates to none other than Sam Bankman-Fried, the perpetrator of one of the largest frauds in American history. You have stated that you wish for X to be a global town hall, and to support global free speech. We feel that you cannot wish for the algorithms on X to be manipulated by those wishing to suppress investigative journalism. Here we share exactly what has happened. First we published a video teaser for our article (x.com/CryptoLeaksInf…) in December last year, which went viral in Türkiye, and we then further boosted. March 20, a few days ago, we published the full article, which went through the video evidence collected in great detail, and provided the full database of video for use by others, while providing a roadmap for authorities investigating legal and regulatory sanctions (x.com/CryptoLeaksInf…) We watched as the post went viral. The number of views shot up, and raced through 900k, but then mysteriously stalled at 1M. Our guess, based on the circumstances, is that this was either caused by bot farms controlled by Arkham reporting the article en mass to manipulate X's algorithms, or from the use of expensive reputation management firms that can leverage contacts inside X. Neither is good. Then we made another tweet (now deleted) revealing information about Miguel Morel's polo activities, and relating them to those hurt by his business activities. This post also mentioned the SPK and Galatasaray S.K. One and a half days later, this follow-up post had only received a few hundred views – even though the preceding post covering Arkham and the SPK and Galatasaray S.K. affairs went viral. Normally, the algorithm would have placed the new post into some of the feeds of those who were interested in the earlier viral post. An hour or so ago, we deleted that tweet because the shadow banning made it look as though we may have done something wrong ourselves. That is, corrupt parties working from the shadows, succeeded in making us look less trustworthy on the X platform, while suppressing the free flow of bonafide content about Arkham's activities (we have no evidence showing who is behind the manipulation other than the circumstantial evidence apparent to all). We know that is not the purpose of X. As a workaround, we began paid promotion of our first post. At first, this succeeded in having the tweet shown to a larger audience, increasing views to almost 5 million. However, soon the promotion was stopped, and the post was placed "under review" (and, as mentioned, organic distribution had already been stopped by manipulation of the algorithms). It would seem to us, and others, that the post was placed under review because of bot farms reporting the tweet, but of course, it could also result from reputation managers having inside contacts, or even lawyers sending threatening letters. None of this should be possible in a society that supports free speech. This undermines the very purpose that X is meant to fulfill. Free speech is the ultimate mechanism for society to attack the corrupt. If those covered by Crypto Leaks feel they have been unfairly accused, then they can present counter evidence in the public domain. Of course, we welcome public discourse with those we cover, but none usually wishes to draw more attention by engaging with us. As a result, for our entire history, from the accused we only ever see misdirection, denials, cover-ups, baseless counter accusations by anonymous parties, smears from aligned press they can corral with their resources, and very often, efforts to suppress us on social media and remove us from search indexes. If people wish to avoid public discourse concerning the revelations we make, but believe we have falsified evidence, we invite them to exercise their rights under the law and sue us for defamation. However, historically 1) the targets of our investigations know their own people have made the revelations on video, which makes suing us for defamation difficult, and further that we have been meticulous about how we obtain and present evidence, and 2) even a "for-show" legal filing would allow us to investigate them further through legal discovery mechanisms, leading to more revelations. Our record remains pristine, and we stand by our work. If any of our evidence is inaccurate, then we shall remove it upon proof being shown to us. Given the current situation, we respectfully ask that a flag is put on our X account to prevent corrupt parties performing manipulations of X that cause our investigative journalism posts to be shadow banned, through whatever means are being used. Free speech matters, and it's greatly harmed by those who perform these kinds actions. We also respectfully suggest that Arkham be asked to deny under oath their involvement of these latest manipulations, and if they refuse to do so, that their profile be removed from X or frozen. We expect this post to receive only a handful of views. Once that changes, we and our readers will know this is being addressed somehow. Thank you for your consideration.

Someone hired by Arkham with no verifiable track record (aside from loosely using the word “advisor”) is making claims that simply don’t hold up. 1. Arkham Exchange is neither licensed nor operating in Turkey, so framing this as “corruption” is nonsense. 2. Arkham isn’t a betting platform, which makes the Galatasaray–betting narrative completely fabricated. This isn’t leaking, this is pure manipulation and attention-seeking speculation. The real question is who’s amplifying this and why.

@BasedGiant_ When a company runs a licensed crypto exchange, it must make sure it is not accidentally (or deliberately) enabling money laundering, sanctions busting, et al. This is achieved by through a "compliance" department, which ensures rules are kept. Arkham's dept. has left them.
