Devil Went Down to Georgia
In any other culture in the world a song like this would be impossible. It would be a song about hubris and how foolish the boy was to make such a reckless bargain with a literal cosmic entity of twisted deals and corrupting evil. At the very least the boy would need some sort of trick to come out ahead, if it would be possiblefor the boy to survive at all.
But in America, no, he was just simply better. He just straight up beat the devil at a game of the devil's choosing with nothing but sheer competence and confidence.

@PlotWeaver @_3kichikane3_ You have to be told that because if you believed your self good and had a happy culture why would you become a communist?
English

@_3kichikane3_ どうして我々の文化を宗教を大事にする事を『悪』と言われなければならないんだ。
Why would any sensible person in Japan believe such a silly thing?
日本語

@nanbangiseru @_3kichikane3_ It absolutely is!
Or it is at least a weapon they use to destroy a happy functioning culture so you will be willing to become a communist.
English

@_3kichikane3_ Because it is a totalitarian cult. Everything has to be for its sake. Destroying the old world to make way for the new is part of that. They want to completely destroy your culture so you are a blank miserable isolated person that they can re-write in their image.

It was a nasty war and our ancestors did a lot of nasty things to each other. We can joke about it now the same way people who met as rivals and are now friends can.
I honestly would like to see Japan with a full army and navy. I don't think the Japan of today a would misuse it. I don't think our country even has the right to oppose it. I would like to see you regain some of your lost martial tradition.

To my American friends,
I want to speak from the heart, because this moment truly moved me as a Japanese citizen.
When President Trump made that Pearl Harbor joke, it wasn’t just humor to us. It felt like a weight I’d carried my whole life was suddenly lifted. My chest tightened, and honestly, tears came close.
For 80 long years, we Japanese have lived under a heavy shadow — the constant expectation to apologize, to reflect, to stay in “guilt mode.” Even though we’re the closest of allies, that old wound never fully healed. We felt bound by the past, by the Constitution America helped write for us, always a little smaller, always needing to prove we were sorry enough.
But in that single joke, Trump did something powerful. He turned a painful history into a shared laugh between equals. It was like he was saying:
“Hey, it was a long time ago. We’re good. Let’s move forward — as brothers.”
No more endless atonement. No more living in the shadow of being the “former enemy.” The curse broke. Japan feels free to stand tall again.
Right now, cherry blossoms are blooming beautifully all across Japan. 🌸
This spring, the sakura feels like a perfect symbol — a fresh beginning. Not two nations stuck in old roles, but true equals, proud brothers, shoulder to shoulder, ready to build the future together.
To the American people:
We don’t want to be subordinates forever. We want to be your real partners — strong, proud, and loyal. The kind of allies who ride or die together.
Thank you, Mr. President.
Thank you, America.
The strongest alliance in the world is rising again — as equals, as brothers, forever.
#PhoenixRising 🇯🇵🤝🇺🇸🌸

@yamanakanobody @SpringV82 It seems to be a global pandemic.
English

@piyococcochan2 You should look up why no one in the middle east wants to help the Palestinians. Every country who took them in they tried to take over.

@qsfkbwIhuWLhnjI Never stop fighting for your home and your children.
Never forget what you have is something special.
Never let your children forget it either.
English

@Real_MrInformed @shine_gomiseifu Never forget to be the Japanese the Americans think you are!
English

@shine_gomiseifu There is a meme in America: "be the American the Japanese think you are."
But I propose a meme for you, Japan: "be the Japanese the Americans think you are."

@shine_gomiseifu Nippon Banzai!
I'd rather be banned from Japan for life than see Japan stop being Japan.
English

@GrwaNnKqMn5nG68 Communism has killed a lot of communist. 😉

@zasaigyan @BlackDumpling This would be how tge rest of the world learns about this concept.

Did you know Garage sales are almost unheard of in Japan?

@yelsaeTtreboR @BlackDumpling Excuse me, I didn't word it well enough.
I meant to ask if a foreigner like me happens to walk by and the landlord will still show me the property for sale.
English

@Goat11Smelly @ChristianHeiens "Be the American Japan believes you to be"
English

@harukaawake You need to stamp this out quickly. Do not underestimate how destructive this can be. If your schools are teaching it, defund those schools.
English

@TANAKAKAKUEI512 I kind of want to move to Japan just so I can vote in a party who would kick me out for being a gaijin.
