Just a few wins against homeless kids in the outskirts of Lagos and well starched kaftan.

@TeethGobblin @Hoffa9k @jojofomo20 @inkblotPrincess Do you? Producers don’t write, direct, or have any concrete contribution to the creative process, but investing and finding investors for the project. Y’all are blowing this so far out of proportion.

oh well he has a tattoo of bloodborne. fuck. why did no one tell me. you know tattoos magically imbue creative prowess and filmmaking knowledge. it's true. they teach you that in film school.

Jacksepticeye knows the games lore, his first tattoo was of Bloodborne, he plays the game like 20 time a year and did multiple playthroughs on stream and videos. Jacksepticeye knows ball.

@B_WHEREtweets Exactly my thoughts—especially that Sokka flanderization. The guy who thought up using an airship as a boomerang at 16 is on the verge of tears waiting for Aunty Zuko to give him a sippy cup? How do you Ussop-ify a character who BEAT the curse?

I was gonna wait to watch the Avatar movie but I kept getting spoilers on my timeline so I just bit the bullet and watched it. Here are my (spoiler) thoughts:

it was kind of exposition heavy in the beginning with some clunky dialogue
The clunkiness continues through the whole thing, a lot of the lines feel unnatural, which was a problem in Korra. Sokka is super flanderized, every single line is a joke. He feels like Bolin. And why doesn’t he use his sword?
This extends to Zuko and Toph too, they're super one-note.
They relied a lot on callbacks, I feel like they could have toned that down dramatically
The conflict between the main cast felt really contrived to service Aang’s character arc, which sucks because I think it’s a cool arc for him.
I like the role Katara was supposed to play, she knows Aang best and is able to see that he’s being manipulated, but the execution really falls flat, she ends up just sort of having a hunch and being right. Her best evidence is that Taga was going to kill the denied, but Aang saw him do this too and just ignored it for the sake of the plot.
They forgot Zuko’s chest scar
GORGEOUS animation. I feel really bad for the artists who worked on this, both because it deserved a better script and because it got leaked
I said like 10 times while watching “I wish I was seeing this in a theater”
the voice actors don’t feel like the characters. It’s a huge miss. I can kinda jive with Aang but the rest feel pretty jarring, Katara is the worst IMO. To be clear, the voice actors don’t do a bad job, they’re just not the original cast. Invincible Zuko was particularly jarring
There were some really cool concepts like the endless ocean, spirit staff, dual air bending for flight, eternal storm, etc.
Like in Korra, the Avatar State takes a massive debuff. it should be this force of nature but Aang gets his ass kicked while using it like 5 times
using proto-equalists kinda sucks tbh. if this were a social issue at the time Aang would have tried to fix it. I get they needed a convenient group of non-benders to make an air army out of, but it felt out of place.
I did not like the Taika Waititi creature
Aang really is a super unique hero for young boys to look up to, as a pacifist monk who's also half nature god. I wish he had more content like this (with better writing)
5/10 script, 10/10 visuals, 5/10 voice acting. A very mixed bag. Slightly better than Korra but not by much.

@galeblades1 @notjustbtstras1 @jayjjalen Go spit your snide comments at them if it bothers you then? I literally specified that they were BOTH words said in a moment of weakness.
English

@Cuphead02 @notjustbtstras1 @jayjjalen funny how katara STILL gets shit for that but people instantly comes to aang’s defense when the shoe is on the other foot…
English

@notjustbtstras1 @jayjjalen Are we forgetting that she told Sokka he didn’t love his mother like she did? Its words said in a moment of weakness, bro.
Let it breathe.
English

@jayjjalen Telling your literal girlfriend that she doesn't know what its like to yearn for the restoration of her people is wrong on so many levels

@ColdTrailFiles @kuso_otoko The irony that this IS actually a comfort ending…but it’s just so MID that fans aren’t sure it’s not an April fools joke.

@kuso_otoko Fujimoto doesn’t fumble endings, he just refuses to give you comfort.

@Cuphead02 @Pebblet5 @B_Rabbit843 Its not fair to go "white people shouldnt be getting asian roles, but I, an asian man, should be able to get white roles"
English

@RealTruggler I mean…can you blame him? There’s whole forums on Twitter and TikTok that still can’t read the story for shit even with how much he throws it in their faces.
English

@MegaBaumTV @Pebblet5 @B_Rabbit843 What isn’t fair about a white man not getting cast in an Asian live action role?
