Is Illinois/Houston the Game of the Week? If not, who’s got it topped? I think it’s easily going to be the best of the best. This is a Final 4 type of matchup 🔶🔷

Sitting here watching Bama vs Gators. Everyone chases numbers. Radar guns, 60 times, exit velo… the stuff that gets headlines. But development isn’t built in a showcase stat line. Justice Lebron didn’t check every “wow” box early. What Alabama saw wasn’t hype, it was projection, instincts, and real baseball skill. They trusted their eyes. And here’s the part people ignore, players peak at different stages. Some at 10. Some at 14. Some at 17. Some at 20. If you’re only chasing early results, you’re going to miss late bloomers every time. Now look where he is. Trust the process, Rome wasn’t built over night!

@Matt_Stepp817 Nah Stepp…if you were North of Downtown you were considered “Nawf” and rocked braids. If you were South of Downtown you were considered South and rocked the Southside Fade OG!

Ok my Houston people...during the real Northside-Southside beef in the mid-late 90s...if you lived in the Eastside or Westside were you just neutral or did one side generally align w/the other side?? Dont know why this just now crossed my mind but genuinely curious lol

I’m dropping “The Best Multi-Sport Athletes in Texas” this week. Got a good group of names in my head, but I’m sure there’s many I’m missing… Which #txhsfb players HAVE to be on the list?

3B Connor Greb (@Connor_Greb_3, 2027) keeps hammering baseballs to start the junior campaign. 💣 The @AuburnBaseball recruit & #PBFG25 alum takes a bottom SNK & barrels it off the scoreboard in RF for a leadoff bomb. 👍 Spain Park leads 5-0, T1. #ALHS26 || @ShooterHunt

Acting like you've been there and playing with passion are not the things that can't co-exist (hope I used that double negative correctly). What the DR brings is love for the game, pride in their country, team, etc. Loving the game, being passionate about it, and legitimately playing for your teammates are all enviable traits. The "act like you've been there before" crowd simply doesn't appreciate the bullshit of hitting a dinger or getting a big K and yelling at the opponent's dugout. Just do your thing and go celebrate with your own teammates, instead of talking shit toward your opponent. These two worlds can, and should, love in harmony in every dugout.

🥓 Hot take 🥓 The passion, joy and confidence the Dominican Republic plays with is something I wish more American kids could do. The “act like you’ve been there” crowd are dinosaurs. They aren’t acting like punks or showing up their opponents or talking trash. They are playing with unbridled joy and passion.

This is what inner city football looked like in Houston 20 years ago. A throwback to Worthing vs Madison my senior year. 20k plus in the Astrodome both teams 8-0. The #1 player in the nation under center Vince Young. Mike West to the far left at the corner spot 🔥.
