There is no deficit rule at FunderPro and no hidden formula that applies to all funded traders.
Here, it’s simple. The trader in his first account:
-$9550 in drawdown from the first 3 trades
+$13,175 in the next 2 trades
-$20,402 in drawdown over the next 5 trades
His lot size was volatile, ends in a Hail Mary 25 lot trade. This is bad trading.

Systematically 20 lots trades. Yes profit was made on each of them but it is clear that this won’t continue and the account will be lost.
This is a volatile trading pattern and there is no possible way to have a win win situation.

🚨The FunderPro situation is insane.
@MatheWieme made $20K+ in payouts, traded clean, passed multiple 200K accounts…
and they STILL shut him down because he made more money than he spent on challenges.
They literally told him he has a “deficit” because their revenue didn’t cover his payouts.
Bro… what kind of prop firm punishes traders for PROFITING?
If you have to lose money for a firm to stay happy, that’s not funding.
That’s a rigged casino. 🚨

I just had my account closed by @funderpro for one of the craziest reasons I’ve ever seen: - I bought 3 × 2-step 200K accounts - Passed 2 of them - Received $20K in payouts - Have another $8.5K pending Great results to say the least. But FunderPro still closed down my account for a policy that appears nowhere in their FAQ or TOS: Some of you might have to read that twice, so did I. But it comes down to this. You're only getting paid if you either: 1. Spend more on challenges than you earn (so they still profit from you) → meaning you lose money. 2. Make at least 5x your drawdown before losing a funded account. If not you have to either settle for a 30% profit split, or close your account. I can't stress enough how crazy this is so let me itterate again. You have to either lose money overall, or consistently make 500%+ returns. To make it even worse, I got on a call with them to discuss. We agreed that they would just pay me out at 80% for this account, and ban me after this account. But two weeks later, right before my next payout, they forced another call and completely reversed their previous promises. So I decided to take my current payout at 100% and close the account, because I don't trust them with my money at all. This is not the behaviour of a healthy firm, and it's not just happened to me but to plenty of other funded traders. So everyone, stay away from FunderPro. *Proof for eveything in the comments.

The other side of the story- having a reasonable chat and asking Mathe to adapt his trading style to be less volatile. He rejected.
We are willing to work with traders who respect our capital, but we can’t allow traders who gamble at our risk to continue.
It breaks the whole spirit of what prop trading is meant to be- funding safe and consistent traders.
