For over 3 years now, my Wi-Fi SSID has carried a simple message: "Vote Peter Obi 2027." Most people see a Wi-Fi network as just a way to connect to the internet. I saw an opportunity to start conversations and keep the message visible. Every day, people within range scan for networks and see that message. A small act, but a consistent one. Now I'm considering carrying a second device with a hotspot named "GET YOUR PVC" so that wherever I go, the message goes with me. Sometimes it's the little things we do consistently that keep the conversation alive. Every one of us has a role to play in building the Nigeria we want to see.

In Nigeria, we live by the dash. Everyone expects you to dash them. The security man doing his job, the police doing his job, the person giving you direction, the one helping with a parking space, the babe you said hi to, the relations that think you have money. The list is endless.

And what exactly is wrong with having an Ibibio accent? Why should I be ashamed of the way I speak? I grew up speaking Ibibio. It's part of who I am, just like someone else's Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, or British accent is part of them.

Mr. Obi himself went to Rufai Oseni's podcast and asked Kenneth Okonkwo to release any record he had about him, even from primary school. Anyway, on this Outlier. It is better to be called ignorant or “ghoster”, than to lose your hard-earned legal status, careers, & credit scores from a massive legal liability. Mind you, you have far moreee to lose than the person in Nigeria! Bypassing identity verification (KYC) systems by pretending to be a US/UK/EU resident while operating from abroad is a criminal computer & identity offense. It is not JUST a "civil issue". Under 18 U.S. Code § 1028) & the UK (under the Fraud Act 2006), it is classified as Fraud by False Representation/Identity Fraud. You’re intentionally deceiving a third party (the company) for financial gain. It is a crime! No one is stopping you from doing it, but be fully aware of what you’re doing!
