(Separate from reported study outcomes we found that implant size and augments were more predictable). This type of technology may help to facilitate migration of some of these cases to outpatient centers.

Allows augment prediction and bone preparation, alignment correction in coronal and sagittal planes. Just need to remove pins prior to stem and/or cone preparation.

Though my reservations In infected cases Implant removal and debridement and infected bone curettage can only be done by eye ball judgement.

And yes, I have also placed pins intra-incisional too. Just need to remove them after bone prep to access canal.

My experience is 100% success with functional spacers as a final permanent construct after 20+ cases. Diaphysis accessed as part of I&D after pin removal clearing potential contamination. Hope to publish 2 year outcomes.
