From today, Labour has increased the minimum wage to £12.71 an hour, cut energy bills by £117, frozen prescription charges, expanded sick pay and brought in day one rights at work. Not bad for a government that’s supposedly “no different”.

I disagree with the death penalty in principle. But the idea of a death penalty that only applies to people of one race is utterly abhorrent.

Israel’s parliament has passed a new death penalty law that applies to Palestinians but not Israelis who commit the same crime. We need Governments to do more than issue statements against this. We need tough action. Our Government must impose widespread sanctions on Israel.
