STATEMENT Today I was ejected from Parliament after contributing for just 2 minutes; the rules state that a member is entitled to 20 minutes. I understand why they stopped me; but I remain in absolute and unyielding opposition to CAB3 so help me God. I don’t care whether I am removed from PAC chair or recalled from Parliament all together; I stand for nothing and nothing else but the truth. I will never ever ever betray my conscience and those who elected me. God bless you and goodnight Hon C Matewu

A 26-year-old man, Kelvin Menyani, has been accused of spending money that he was supposed to collect for his employer. His employer, Efiat Kodoya, had asked him to collect US$7,100 from a trailer buyer while he was out of the country. Menyani was instructed to give US$7,000 to Kodoya’s wife and keep US$100 as a reward. However, Menyani allegedly failed to deliver the money and is accused of spending a large amount of it at a sports betting shop in Harare. After his employer and family members searched for him, he was found betting at MWOS Mabvuku. Police recovered only US$1,500, and he was later arrested. He has been charged with theft of trust property and appeared in court before a Harare magistrate. ~H-Metro

A 22 YEARS UNFINISHED NUST BUILDING The pictures attached are not from a ghost town. They are from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Zimbabwe's second-largest state university and a leading institution in engineering, science, and technology. For years, generations of students have come and gone while this massive structure has remained unfinished. Many students know it simply as "the abandoned building" a permanent reminder of a project that was started but never completed. Students continue to ask difficult but important questions: Why was this project left unfinished? What happened to the funds that were meant to complete it? Why has no clear explanation been given? Why does such a strategic institution continue to operate without prioritizing the completion of infrastructure that could transform the learning environment? This is not merely an eyesore. It is a safety concern. An abandoned structure can become a hiding place for criminals, expose students to danger, and compromise the security of the campus community. It also undermines the image and aspirations of a university that prides itself on producing the engineers and innovators of tomorrow. Many may not know that NUST's main campus still lacks a fully functional central library , forcing students to travel elsewhere to access some learning resources. Classroom shortages remain a challenge. Completing this project could help address some of these pressing needs. Every year, distinguished guests, government officials, and national leaders attend graduation ceremonies celebrating the achievements of NUST graduates. Yet this unfinished structure remains standing as a silent question mark over our national priorities. What message are we sending to future engineers when a major project at an engineering institution remains incomplete for years? As students and stakeholders in higher education, we respectfully call upon the Vice Chancellor, the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, university authorities, development partners, and the Government of Zimbabwe to urgently review this project and provide a clear roadmap for its completion. NUST students deserve a safe, modern, and fully developed learning environment. This building should not become a monument to neglect. It should become a symbol of progress, accountability, and investment in Zimbabwe's future. @mhtestd @ShavaHon @Jamwanda2 @mambojoniZw @mamakaCleo @daddyhope @_Briankorir #FinishTheNUSTProject #NUST #HigherEducationZW #StudentsMatter #InfrastructureForEducation

Presidential Advisor Paul Tungwarara has announced that he will spend more than US$170,000 to reward 17 owners of X accounts (formerly Twitter), with each person receiving US$10,000 for what he described as their efforts to defend President Mnangagwa during the period when Rutendo Matinyarare was publicly criticising and attacking the President. Tungwarara said these individuals did everything within their power to defend both the President and the First Family on social media. This comes after Rutendo Matinyarare was given a Toyota Land Cruiser and US$200,000 after agreeing to apologise to the President. Tungwarara provided the following list of X account holders who will each receive US$10,000: - Snowball - Mukungunugwa - Kudzai Mutisi - Jones Musara - Bashona - Padare-Enkundleni - Alligator - Pardon - Muchinamuhombe - Dr Ruru - Cindy Soko - Shumbakadzi - Zimfit - Tino Chibage - Musikavanhu - Garson - Shangrila

Please help me understand something. I still do not understand why Africans should mobilise themselves to support a South American team over an African team, South Africa. The fact that there have been xenophobic and Afrophobic attacks in South Africa by a minority of South Africans against fellow Africans does not necessarily mean we should throw the baby out with the bathwater. Emotional reactions rarely produce meaningful solutions. In moments like these, I believe it is important to reflect and ask ourselves, what would Julius Nyerere have said? Would Nyerere have responded to Afrophobia by supporting Mexico against an African team? What would Kwame Nkrumah have said? More importantly, what would Nelson Mandela have said? It is important to understand that when someone does something wrong, and you respond by doing something similar, you risk becoming what you are criticising. But when someone mistreats you and you respond with maturity, principle and love, you break the cycle of toxicity. People can then clearly see the difference between the two of you. If you choose to fight a pig in the mud, both of you end up covered in mud, and from a distance it becomes difficult to tell the difference. Sometimes the most powerful response is not retaliation, but demonstrating the values you wish others would embrace. These are simply my reflections. People are free to support whichever team they want. However, choosing a team solely because of the xenophobic and Afrophobic actions of a minority group in South Africa, and then treating the entire South African nation as if it is united with that minority, does not strike me as the best path towards African unity. If we truly believe in Pan-Africanism, then we must be careful not to judge millions of people by the actions of a few. Otherwise, we risk reinforcing the very divisions that we claim to oppose. And to my African brothers and sisters who have large social media platforms and are followed by millions of people across different media platforms, as I am, we have a responsibility to be measured in what we say. We must use our influence to guide people towards solutions rather than inflame the very problems we claim to be trying to solve. Leadership is not about amplifying anger, resentment or division. It is about encouraging reflection, dialogue and understanding. Our words carry weight, and with that influence comes a duty to build bridges, not burn them. If we genuinely want a more united Africa, then we must be careful not to deepen existing wounds for applause or engagement. We should be helping people find common ground and practical solutions rather than accentuating the very challenges we are trying to overcome.

You clearly have no clue what you're talking about. If not for lawyers and those acclaimed as useless degrees, how do you think regulations and policies are enacted to make sure Scientists don't use human as lab rats every time they deem fit? In fact, if not for those regulations you would likely have been a lab rat.
