Travelled on Ghodbunder Road today and the condition is honestly pathetic. No lane discipline at all. Heavy vehicles everywhere. No traffic police in sight. Roads are bad and people are driving however they want without any basic civic sense. This road is used by thousands of people daily but still nothing improves. The issue isn’t just compensation after a death, it’s preventing avoidable deaths in the first place. Accountability should come before payouts.

After today’s Mulund incident, where a so-called ready-to-use structure collapsed and a life was lost… the compensation announced is just ₹5 lakh. Compensation or insult? How cheap has human life become? Something is deeply broken. Corruption everywhere, accountability nowhere. Humanity feels missing, and everyone is just busy saving themselves. Honestly, if I ever get the chance to leave this country, I won’t look back. Because today you’re safe, and tomorrow someone else’s negligence or corruption can take that away in a second. Think about it.

Today we celebrate 5 Years of building @RaiseTheBarHQ 🌟😊 We have seen crazy ups & downs in our journey so far! When we started, the leaders felt all innovation in the broking industry was done and practically no need for a new broking platform to exist. We didn't build for all, just relentless focus on building for Super Traders & Long Term Investors. Today many industry-first innovations from Dhan have become industry standards followed by even large players, and the product manager in me is a bit happy and proud that Dhan practically defines the product roadmap for industry. Practically everyone in the VC industry passed us, no one wanted to back us. We found support from Founders & Entrepreneurs who backed us and later from 2-3 VCs who found conviction in our way of building. Yes, people have cheered that our early investors & angels made nearly 50X returns, they stood by us when no one else in the industry did and backed us when we practically existed only on paper. Very grateful to our colleagues and team members who stood with us through all our early years till date, who helped shape our journey with obsession for customer satisfaction and wanting to delight our customers. As founders, we are happy that we were able to create wealth for many of our ~200 early team members with company buy-back of stock options. This was for team members across all functions, including many in operations, customer service and also house-keeping staff. 🫡 🙏 We wouldn't have been here without our customers, who took a chance on us and helped us with their suggestions & feedback on building Dhan. 4 years of Dhan, and even today we get 100-200 suggestions everyday. We are obsessed about building for our users, and 9 out of 10 features we ship come from user feedback & interactions. We now serve 500,000 Super Traders everyday! 🙏👍 With all the ups, we have also seen our downs. Our revenues are correcting by as much as 40-45% from its peak with changes and headwinds facing the industry. That's fine, regulations shape up the industry and protect the industry participants. We are here for the long-term and this is just the start. The big-boys in our industry are 10-15 times bigger than us, and we have lots of miles ahead to cover before we celebrate our wins. Until then, heads-down with execution and back to hearing from our customers! As we celebrate the New Year, we are excited for 2026 and grateful for the journey till now.
