This lawsuit basically is the Big 12's way to of tell everyone they won't be pushed around by Texas Tech. The Big 12 lists the Texas Tech Chancellor, President and athletic director as defendants.

My take on the current hot topic of simming: I don't care what people do on their own time to complete an ultimate. I do think it cheapens the prog experience a bit, but if they just want to minimize time spent getting the reward then go for it. Literally doesn't affect me.

I was just going to ignore it because I'm too old to care about the internet discourse you all like to partake in, so I'll make one post addressing it and then move on: I believe everyone has the right to exist. What I don't agree with is pushing your ideology (regardless of what it is) on other people, especially children. And that's something I will never budge on. I don't agree with being so far on one side that you'll literally call someone a "Nazi" if they don't agree with you on certain topics. If you're not mature enough to know that not everyone you disagree with isn't a Nazi then I probably don't want to engage with you anyway. Just like I know not everyone who disagrees with me isn't left, right, up, down, whatever you believe. So just because I believe you have the right to exist, doesn't mean I want to co-exist with you. And trying to push your right to exist to other people when no one is REALLY oppressing you, on EITHER side, is what drives me away from extremist ideologies and perpetual victimhood. You'll find I'm more of an annoyed Centrist. I'm annoyed that if you don't pick one side or the other, that automatically lumps you in with the other side. I believe that everyone is human and what makes us human is that we will NEVER agree on anything (except hating pedophiles and other things that are obviously bad, so don't put words in my mouth if I didn't mention it). Over the past decade on this website we've gone from micro-blogging our lives to having to appease some algorithm overlord by constantly engaging in online discourse. I believe this has radicalized a lot of people on both sides. Which is probably why the people you think are genuine are just performative looking for good boy points. Just because I speak out on certain topics doesn't automatically lump me in with the far side of anything. I'm not going to post anything but gaming stuff. I don't care enough about politics to throw shit at the wall all day and try to invalidate anyone's existences. I'll reply to things sure, but you're not going to get a political account out of me on my feed. As far as my experience with FFXIV: This is honest to God my first playthrough. As far as the /tells? I'm not orchestrating it. I actually found them on Twitter I just don't want to call them out unless I get permission. Like I said in another post if you want me to post your name, I'd be happy to if you want to send me off-the-wall /tells for reactions because some of them can be funny even if you're not being genuine, I really can't tell. And anyone who goes "Oh it's just engagement bait." Why the fuck are we on this website if our goal isn't to engage with people? Stop being annoying. Everyone wants engagement, I see you post memes all the time about getting no notifications. If you think you're some Holier-Than-Thou-I'm-Perfect-In-My-Behavior then you must have already broken every mirror in your house buddy. I'm enjoying my time in FFXIV. I'm old enough to have been through the WoW community ringer. This isn't my first rodeo through a divided community and I understood coming into it that not everything was going to be peaches and rainbows. I was never delusional enough to think starting FFXIV and engaging with the community would always be wholesome. I'll keep my replies open so the people who want their good boy points can make their rebuttals. Just know that at the end of the day, I'm going to go to bed. Wake up, and go on with my life. You can make me an enemy in your head, but from what I've seen from being on the internet for so long is you'll find something else to be angry about in a few days. I'm just the flavor of the day.
