Maybe (?) an unpopular opinion among my fanbase but I am real sick of "they paid for their team!!" argument when it comes to TTU softball. Football programs are shelling out millions on their teams, but suddenly it's a problem when it's a women's team paying? Gimme a break

@zylerbuchanan The ncaa has allowed players in other sports to play after suspension when betting on own team. It’s was presented today in the hearing.

In what I think is a really good point, the NCAA notes, Sorsby being eligible would be the first league in America to allow a player who bet on their own sport to play again. Notes this would be an irreparable harm to the NCAA.

Plus they have Ohio State the next week. @TexasTechFB is not good enough for a neutral site or taking away a home game. If any other game possibly deserved a neutral site it would be with @AggieFootball But those are awesome on each campus. The atmosphere is epic. Tech needs to realize they are a mid level Texas college football program. They aren’t a top 5 texas program historically. Go sit down and let the big people handle things.

The truth of the matter is, Cincinnati had the money to retain Sorsby. But due to his consistent gambling, John Cunningham knew they had to move on - as they would be without a QB come fall when the NCAA nuked Sorsby’s career. That’s why Cincinnati made the choice to dump Sorsby and snag JC French, a player who’s got a record cleaner than a Tokyo Station bathroom. That’s how you comply to the NCAA and give your team the best chance to win.
