@QuinnSTLCards I just don't like how much the offense + bp storyline is setting up just like last year. Scoring a boatload of runs but losing because the BP can't lock anything down.

Roycroft is too elite at inducing soft contact it’s honestly impressive. He needs them to hit it harder

@RedbirdFarmhand @LO_Cardinals I’m not saying he hasn’t got hit around, but he literally always gives up the swinging bunt type hit. Either way, no excuse for him not to have more swing and miss stuff. He just isn’t a good pitcher. Is what it is.

@OnlyCardsFans Yes, but it was a choice to bring in Roycroft. It was a choice to let Soriano and his 12 pitches sit after one inning. It was a choice to let Stanek close. So his BP management has been meh (at best) this series.

And yes, I know how this works. A bad bullpen gets us “IT’S NOT HIS FAULT HIS PITCHERS ALL SUCK.” I’m aware of how this narrative crap works.

The media has said over and over how great Oli is at handling his bullpen. I’m already ready to see his magic.
