The world is a safer place today after the US actions in Venezuela this weekend. This was not a declaration of war as Democrats are falsely claiming, so Congressional approval was not needed. This was a quick military and FBI strike against a known, multi-year drug lord terrorist who was officially indicted by the USA. This event follows precedent of other known and documented terrorist captures, none of which had Congressional approval prior to action being taken: - 1990 – George H.W. Bush captured the narco-terrorist Manuel Noriega (Operation: Just Cause) - 2011 – Barak Obama’s capture of terrorist Osama Bin Laden (Operation: Neptune Spear) - 2026 – Trump captures narco-terrorist Nicolas Maduro (Operation: Absolute Resolve) American families are safer today because an international terrorist has been removed from power, and freedom can now be pursued by the persecuted people of Venezuela. RI Democrats need to stop putting politics ahead of the safety and well-being of US Citizens and the Venezuelan people. This is yet another key reason why Rhode Island needs new representation in Congress.
