Wong yg cegat rudal balistik Iran di Turki itu 2x lhoo pake SM-3 punya US Navy dari kapal destroyer mereka. Pertama di Hatay, kedua di Gaziantep. Kan sempat jadi rame tuh netizen mereka "Kemana S-400 Saat Rudal Iran Menyerang?".
Alasan Turki beli SAMP/T ini ya bener kata mimin @LembagaKERIS karena BMD mereka belum mature, atau bahkan belum siap. Mereka kan punya program multi-layer defense system yang namanya "steel dome", dan salah satu tumpuan BMD mereka itu pake SIPER series.
Ini salah satu footage yang diduga rudal balistik Iran yang di intercept sama SM-3 diperbatasan Turki-Suriah.

Kalau berdasarkan captionnya kan itu kan intercept exo-atmospheric yang kemungkinan sekitar ketinggian 100 km. Nah, hal ini yang masih belum sanggup dilakukan sama SIPER Blk 1 & 2 yang punya flight altitudenya di 20-30 km. Sedangkan SM-3 itu sudah jelas ABM exo-atmospheric yang bisa intercept rudal balistik diatas 100 km. Di Operation Burnt Frost 2008 lalu, SM-3 itu pernah intercept satelit diketinggian 247 km. 😋

Now, it's only US and limited Arab support, Israeli air support, and intelligence. It's very different from the 1st Gulf War
