@SBN_Ricky There are other ways teams can improve - better coaching, better drafting, player development, coaching, free agency, trades, better roster construction, etc. just giving the best rookie to the shitttiest team never made sense. It was just what we were used to.

@SBN_Ricky I disagree. No one should be rewarded by being terrible. Thats not how real life works. Theres no reason why teams trying to be good (ie Miami, Chicago in recent years) shouldn’t be equally rewarded to go from the middle the top.

@DeathbyCeltics @MaxCoh3n @Gareth_giggs Basically fouling shouldn’t be a strategy. While I’m here, just no more instant replays unless they are reviewed in real time (score changes if something is reversed). Teams go back to wearing white at home. Ban garments under jerseys. Don’t allow traveling.

@MaxCoh3n @Gareth_giggs Yeah I think an idea others have suggested is you can “decline” free throws in the last 2 minutes, so the other team can foul but it just results in shot clock resetting to 14 and they have to get a steal.

Nobody wants to talk about the fact that the end of NBA games are just outright terrible product and there’s an easy fix that isn’t being considered for very dumb reasons

@DeathbyCeltics @MaxCoh3n @Gareth_giggs For the entire game, an offensive play, especially fast break, should not stop bc of a def foul. The play continues / offense gets a “free play”. All FTs shot between quarters. End of each half, if an off team is fouled, they receive one FT and the ball back / reset shot clock.

@JustEsBaraheni I think it is temporary (another 2 years). Teams (smart teams) will build around the new CBA / aprons. Teams weren’t building for this 3-4 years ago. Also lots of new ownership.

The new CBA is forcing teams to move in in unruly way — shrinking the middle class, de-incentivizing spending into the tax, tightening championship windows and forcing the already accelerating churn of the NBA transaction cycle to be even more rapid.
