Most of you may be too young to remember that time when Pay on Delivery started on Jumia. There was this sad news that someone ordered a high end phone, and when it was delivered, killed the delivery man, and tossed him in a sewer. As @leyeConnect says it: Benefits of a high trust society.

A couple of food delivery robots got an assist from some helpful humans who spotted them struggling to get over a curb in Turku, Finland. abcnews.link/T4Xn9Iy

Our soakaway got clogged, and our caretaker brought an old man to fix it. I watched him struggle for a bit trying to break the cement, and I couldn’t just stand there, I told him to let me help. I collected the Monday hammer from him and broke the hard parts myself. I stayed with him throughout the repair till he was done. I even fetched water and gave him soap to wash up. He thanked me and left. Later, he came back and asked me to call the caretaker so he could confirm he was done. The caretaker came and paid him. After that, Baba came to my door looking for me and handed me 5k. I told him I couldn’t take it, that he shouldn’t worry. My Yoruba was as bad as his English, so communication wasn’t smooth😂 He just prayed for me and left. Some minutes later, he came back again, this time with one plastic bottle of Orijin bitters he bought from the shop outside and handed it to me before leaving. I just dey look the plastic Orijin dey laugh. That Baba nah a grateful shayo man😂

That's also how Tunde Onakoya sleazed out. All these perforated chants of "non partisan", "sitting on the fence", "apolitical", " no one is a Messiah". Meanwhile - all those times, he was on the payroll of Ogun State Govt as "Sports Amb". If you like, let them whine you.

My oyibo wife woke up one morning and told me she is divorcing me. Wait! She didn't tell me, they sent me a paper written in Dutch. I took the paper to work the following day so my colleague will help me interpret. That's how i got to know it's a divorce paper. I have only been in the country for 3 years, so my ex wanted to divorce and send me back to Africa since she gave me papers. Turns out, as we later found out, that the country has amended their law and now allows one to complete their stay as stipulated on their paper, so long the marriage lasted at least 3 years (I had 5 years papers then). Upon realization, my ex tried to mend fences and get us back, but it's too late. I was afraid. She owned me. I submitted to her whims and caprices because I feared i would lose my right to stay if she divorces me. When the divorce papers came i went into depression. I began to lose weight. Where do i begin from? How do i go back home and face my people? I pleaded with her but it fell on deaf ears. She even booked a one-way ticket for me. She said it's her own little way of helping me transition to my new reality. You need to see her disappointed when we found out i could stay. I moved out and rented my own space-far from her and her troubles. It's been years now. That period really tested me but i thank God for God.

On October 31, 1501, former Cardinal Cesare Borgia purportedly hosted an orgy in the Vatican with "50 honest prostitutes" in which his own father, Pope Alexander VI, not only attended but participated in. It was known as the Banquet of Chestnuts. Pope Alexander VI was considered one of the most corrupt popes in all of Catholic history. His name was associated with incest, adultery, bribery, and murder. The pope was also known for selling official positions within the Church and securing power and wealth only for his family, the House of Borgia. #HistoryVille

When Nigeria suffered a nationwide blackout that lasted an entire weekend in February 1990, NEPA’s managing director, David Oyeleye, was summoned to the office of the head of state, Ibrahim Babangida, to explain the cause. At the time of publication, he had been explaining himself for hours at Dodan Barracks. The Republic reported that the outage was due to a national grid collapse. The newspaper wrote, “Over seven instances of national electric grid system collapse were recorded in February 1989, due to shortage of gas supply to Egbin when the $56 million (N441.4 million) Utorogu Gas Plant developed some technical problems, a month after it was commissioned by President Ibrahim Babangida.”
