Okay, folks: We need a new family show to watch that EVERYONE will like. DS & I just finished Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad and loved it but DH found it too violent. (I did too but it served a valid purpose.) We've covered Monk, Psych, and Chuck. What do you recommend?

@markpoloncarz Teddy Roosevelt regularly staged boxing matches in the White House. He lost sight in one eye from a detached retina because he himself was fighting at the White House in one of these matches. And the Founding Fathers regularly dueled with pistols, one of them died doing so.

I'm sure our Founding Fathers would be very proud to know our president celebrated the 250th birthday of our nation with - (checks notes) - a cage fight on the White House's lawn. Someday people will look back and shake their heads asking "what happened to the US back then?"

@shipwreckedcrew Why are these establishment types so mad about this fund? It doesn’t seem like a big deal to me.

Alexander Hamilton Charcoal/Graphite drawing. This was my first time using charcoal since high school art class. It's messy but I like it. My goal is to draw 10 of the founding fathers and this was my first one. Ben Franklin is next. Alexander Hamilton (c. 1755–1804) was one of the most brilliant and influential Founding Fathers of the United States. Born in the Caribbean island of Nevis to a struggling Scottish merchant and a French mother, he was orphaned young and arrived in New York as a teenager. Hamilton’s extraordinary intellect quickly propelled him into the American Revolution, where he served as an artillery captain and later as George Washington’s trusted aide-de-camp. After the war, he became a leading advocate for a strong central government, co-authoring the influential Federalist Papers with James Madison and John Jay to secure ratification of the U.S. Constitution. As the first Secretary of the Treasury under Washington, Hamilton designed the young nation’s financial system—establishing the national bank, federal assumption of state debts, and a strong currency—laying the foundation for America’s economic power. A fierce Federalist and rival of Thomas Jefferson, his ambitious vision often clashed with others, culminating in his fatal duel with Vice President Aaron Burr on July 11, 1804, in Weehawken, New Jersey. Though he never became president, Hamilton’s ideas profoundly shaped the character of the United States as a commercial republic with a powerful national government. #art #drawing #charcoal #graphite #foundingfathers @TRHLofficial

On the set of FULL METAL JACKET with R. Lee Ermey in 1985. Since we shot the film in reverse (Vietnam in ’85 and Boot Camp in ’86), Lee was serving as technical advisor here. Actor Tim Colceri was originally cast to play Gunnery Sgt. Hartman. Fortunately for audiences (and unfortunately for Tim), Lee convinced Stanley that he was the real deal and replaced Colceri. Thankfully you can still see Tim as the helicopter door gunner in the “Get some” scene. If you’d like to support the @FMJDiary project and exhibition (currently on display at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum in Columbus, Ohio), you can bid on some signed FMJ items here: ebay.us/m/pgnKw0

I'm working on a 10 drawing series of the Founding Fathers. Alexander Hamilton is first. This is also my first drawing using charcoal and graphite instead of just graphite. #artwork

@mariolopezviva @Dodgers I went to a game there in 1989 during family vacation. Sat way up in the upper decks on the left side of the field basically straight across from the foul pole. Very fun night.
