Here's what happens when you try landing on a planet during Cruise Mode in Starfield after the latest Free Lanes update. Even you can get quite close to it, you cannot enter a planet without going through the landing sequence by opening the map.

“Boring story” literally the best story of the entire franchise with one the best protagonist period.
