I’ve been trying out irl coaling recently
- cashier had trouble with the barcode so I said “it must be free!”
- someone told me an interesting fact and I said “what’s that got to do with the price of tea in China?”
- cutting off shy women by loudly saying “What?”

Erika Kirk just isn’t likable. You’re not going to convince people that a mediocre person is a star. That’s not how it works.

The viciousness towards Erika is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Just absolute psychopathic cruelty being casually exhibited by huge numbers of people on both sides of the aisle. Even if you don’t like Erika for some dumb reason, this treatment is still deranged and cartoonishly evil. There are women in public life who I despise but if their husbands were shot and they were left raising young children alone, I wouldn’t mock and bully them. I wouldn’t pretend that I suddenly like them either. I’d probably just keep my mouth shut. That is also an option. If you don’t like Erika, you could always just focus on something else, rather than putting your wickedness on display for the world to see.

Everything in the liberal playbook is just playing back on rerun. The Onion and Heidecker broke their comedic teeth on the fumes of a geriatric Silent-Generation sincere American culture that was dying in 2000s and fully dead since 2016.
These people think they are going mock Red America like they did with “The Colbert Show” and become culturally relevant again. But they have another thing coming. After the Boomers, Conservative Americans are entirely post-modern. They don’t buy into the fake triumphalism of the post-war years. Their microcosmic cultural icons are ironic. Conservatives see Alex Jones the same way that Progressives see John Stewart, partially comedic.
As such, the liberal mockery will miss the mark by being too hamfisted, too out of date, or too cruel.
