Yes you could say robotics is relatively hard and very vast, infact it's hard bcs of its vastness. Coupled with the fact that each area that it spreads to, requires depth in its specialization. Weak: Electronics and ML, everyother area is quite balanced out
Omo-oba Abdullah(Pilot)@Tripleace_Ade

According to @johnfurr538500, Robotics is just plane hard which I believe everyone agrees with him. * Electronics Engineering * Mechanical Engineering * Machine Learning * CAD and Design * Software Engineering CAD/Design is my weakest link for sure and my strongest skill is Electronics. @johnfurr538500 strength is more in ML and coding generally. What about you guys? What are your strongest and weakest skills in robotics? #robot #robotics #CubaVencerá

My company installed an integration on Slack called Donut to foster casual cross-departmental relationships. Every Monday, a cheerful bot forces two random employees into a private channel and tells them to grab a virtual coffee. It's basically an automated corporate hostage situation. This week the bot paired me with the Senior Director of Global Compliance. I don't even know what global compliance means, but it sounds like he could have me legally deported. The bot prompted us with a mandatory icebreaker question to get the conversation started. "If you were a kitchen appliance, which one would you be and why?" I'm communicating with a man who holds the fate of our corporate legal strategy in his hands. I'm not going to tell him I'm a toaster oven. I waited 3 hours to see if he would message first. He didn't. It became a digital standoff. If I don't message him, I look anti-social and non-collaborative to the HR analytics dashboard. If I do message him, I'm interrupting his presumably very important compliance work to talk about blenders. I finally typed "Hey Richard, looks like we got paired up this week!" I added an exclamation point to simulate human warmth and approachability. He replied four hours later with "Yes. Send a calendar invite for Thursday." No greeting, no punctuation flexibility, just a commanding directive from a man who doesn't have time for forced fun. I sent a 15-minute invite titled "Virtual Coffee Sync." Thursday arrived and we both joined the Zoom call. Neither of us actually had coffee. We spent the first 4 minutes talking about the weather in our respective time zones. He lives in Seattle, so the weather was terrible. I live in Chicago, so the weather was also terrible. We then transitioned to asking what the other person is currently working on. I gave a vague, rambling explanation I barely understand myself. He stared blankly into his camera and just said "Understood." We still had 9 minutes left on the meeting clock. The silence stretched out until it consumed all light and matter in the universe. I panicked and asked him the kitchen appliance question. He told me he doesn't cook and then muted his microphone. At the 12-minute mark, I pretended my audio was cutting out and dropped the call entirely. I immediately sent a Slack message apologizing for my terrible internet connection. He never replied. Next week I'm going to set my Slack status to out of office until the bot pairs everyone else.

Over the last 7 years, I’ve focused a lot of my attention on getting more people into tech in Africa. And for the past 4 years and 7 months, @AltSchoolAfrica has been providing technical and non-technical courses, and now it’s time for the next phase of AltSchool. The next phase that’ll make proper education accessible to all Africans. It won’t be easy, but it’ll be worth it. Follow me as we step into the new phase of education in Africa. When I say education, I mean yes. EDUCATION.

We went from "don't copy/paste StackOverflow without understanding it" to "ship the whole repo" without reading it in about 12 months.

Remember when copy/pasting 3 lines from StackOverflow without understanding them was considered reckless? We now ship entire codebases nobody has read.

It's relatively easier to build a product/startup from at least a technical standpoint... where it gets brutal is distribution.

@code_benji I think most development with AI agents is focused mainly on web-facing softwares... maybe a SaaS what have you. When you get to ENGINEER serious systems. Most available AI hardly help out.
