Across the Muslim world, only a very small percentage of people believe homosexuality is acceptable. But half of Muslims in the US believe it's acceptable. In the UK, on the other hand, between roughly only 0% to 25% (depending on the poll) believe homosexuality is acceptable, and some polls have indicated that not only does a huge majority believe it is unacceptable, but also most think it should be illegal. This is the sort of thing the British are up against.

@sambolland @AkronJackson No, every Olympics since WWII has had soccer spread across a large swath of the host country and well away from the host city except for 1964 and 1956. And 1976 and 1948 had all the stadiums pretty close to the host city. But that’s it. Every other one has been exactly like this.
