"𝗙𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹" 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘀. 𝗔 𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀. 𝗘𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻, 𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗲’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲. 🛑➡️ I tend to think the "Fitness to Stand Trial" certification was used as a political lubricant to prevent a riot. The laughter of Christopher Okello Onyum in a Ggaba courtroom is the most honest thing about this trial. 🛑➡️ While the public debates his "mental health", we are missing the Forensic Mismatch. Legal fitness is a low bar: you simply need to know who the judge is and what the charges are. It does not require remorse, nor does it require a "normal" emotional response. 🛑➡️ However, there is a secondary, darker architecture at play. The psychiatric clearance of Onyum serves as a Social Stabilizer. If the board declared him unfit, the "heat" of a grieving community would turn toward the state. 🛑➡️ By declaring him fit, the state transfers the rage back onto the individual. This is Procedural Catharsis. We are witnessing a trial that functions as a pressure valve. Onyum’s laughter suggests three terrifying possibilities: 1️⃣✍️ The Malingerer’s Gambit: He is weaponizing the "insanity" trope to force a mistrial. 2️⃣✍️ The Clinical Void: He possesses a psychopathic detachment where the gravity of the setting simply doesn't register. 3️⃣✍️ The Mirror Effect: He is laughing at the absurdity of a legal system trying to apply "Rules of Evidence" to a tragedy that defies human logic. 🛑➡️ The law is a tool for order, not for understanding the incomprehensible. We are trying to measure a black hole with a wooden ruler. ✍️📌 Whether he is "fit" or not, the verdict won't be a medical truth. It will be a political necessity.

THE NANDUTU SAGA: She seemed to be a very good and hardworking woman to me. She would occasionally interview me when she was still working in the Media. I found her a very pleasant person. I would tease her about her name being the same name like a Nightclub i used to go to in Mbale when I worked there; it was also called NANDUTU...That is as far as the light moment goes; then comes the sad part: WHAT HAPPENED? I'm one of those who believe in TOTALLY CRUSHING CORRUPTION. But then, in that pursuit, WE MUST MAKE SURE JUSTICE IS DONE TO ALL AND FOR ALL. This is the IDEAL of EQUAL TREATMENT, FAIRNESS AND EQUAL RIGHTS TO ALL. When I look at that LIST👇; there is something that does not add-up! WHY ONLY NANDUTU? Is it possible that all those that appear were innocent, except Nandutu? Possible, but strange! Perhaps the President may need to interest himself in this matter again? I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE SUBSTANCE; BUT THE OPTICS STINK, Mr. President!

Finishes P7 and Scores 5 Aggregates. Financial insufficiencies Led her to drop out. Crossed to Kenya and Served as a Maid, where her mother served in the same Position as well. She returned to Uganda. Goes back to school and studies hard. Luck strikes and the Journalism Profession takes off. Then, She joins politics, becoming an MP, then a minister. Then all of a Sudden, iron sheets scandal. Sentenced to 04 years in Jail, for a case where the beneficiaries remain at Large! WATCH AND PRAY, in all things that you do.

OPM procured 10,000 iron sheets for Karamoja. In the end, Karamoja received a total of 1,000 - just 10 per cent - of those iron sheets. Meanwhile, Agnes Nandutu alone got 2,000 - TWICE as many as the total received by the whole of Karamoja, the intended beneficiary!🙌🏾

With all the wealth that you have selfishly accumulated using Ssentamu Unity Platform, it'd have made sense if you helped the late with better medical treatment abroad. So sad. Rest in peace, Mrs. Waiswa!

One day Edith visited me at office and asked that we take this picture so I can post it on one of her birthdays. It’s so sad that I’m instead posting it on the day we bid her farewell for ever. Rest in perfect peace Edith Katende Mufumbiro.

I wouldn't actually mind even if Nandutu was jailed for 20 years. But, why only Nandutu when the iron sheets scandal had 22 serving ministers, 31 MPs and 13 CAOs?

It's deeply heartbreaking. Being denied the chance to say goodbye to a loved one especially a spouse is a kind of pain that goes beyond words. It speaks to a situation where legal decisions feel disconnected from basic human compassion. Where did humanity go?🤷💔.

About the denial of bail for Mr. Waiswa Mufumbiro to attend the funeral of his wife, I think that justice that ignores grief is not justice. It’s cruelty dressed in legal robes. We need a compassionate and humane justice system @JudiciaryUG.

The timing of Nandutu’s imprisonment and ban from taking any public office for 10 years, with the endorsement of her fellow Mabaati thieves for big positions is poetic.
