@UbisoftSupport How the heck do I get a refund for #JustDance2024. This game is garbage. It crashes every time we try to play through a song and I have tried every troubleshooting suggestion online. I tried starting a case and your support site gave me an error, too! Ugh.

There is a simple answer for misclassification of independent contractors. Please continue to withhold support for #PROAct until it can be amended to use the existing language from the IRS Test for worker classification instead of the devastating #ABCTest. #NoPROAct #NoABCforUSA

@Meena_Thiru It is so nice to not have to cater to someone else’s cultural or personal notions of whether time away from work is warranted. As an independent contractor I take time off based on what is important to *me*. A client doesn’t like it? We part ways and I keep working for others.

In my experience, companies treat elder care and childcare differently, putting immigrant kids in a tough spot. I once had a white woman boss who regularly went home early for her kids reprimand me for taking an afternoon to take my dad to the ER.

@ErickaChick Which is why California’s Supreme Court updated it in 2018 to cover remote, mobile & app-based gig workers. It’s the most legally sound way to extend labor rights and protections. You may not need them personally, but they will be there for you and others if you do #ABCnotIRS

@ErickaChick It hasn’t been lately, and it’s partly because the #IRStest is based on case law from the 1990s & the Revenue Act of 1978. A more modern test like California’s ABC has fewer loopholes, but we do need to be clear about when it applies: its #scope—PRO uses it for labor rights only

@MWPexplains I’m not a worker. I’m a business owner. And there should be easy ways for me to be able to define myself as such in the eyes of the law. The IRS test is the gold standard for this. I keep my biz and it is rigorous enough to protect permalancers and other non-biz owners.
