It's 2026 and people still think I own a PS5 and nothing else and want it to "win." Quite literally nothing I talk about with Xbox exclusivity or lack thereof affects me personally

@JezCorden @PaulTassi @Forbes “Exclusives for me, but not for thee” is the vibes I get from many of these articles. What works for their preferred platform shouldn’t even be attempted by others, is another. They want Xbox to thrive, but only if their brand gets the games as well.

@NTobey_ @JezCorden @PaulTassi @Forbes 1-I play on PC so I know I’ll still be able to play those games, but LOL when fanboys cry they can’t. Oh how the turn tables.
2-Steam Machine is more akin to a PS5/XSS based on specs yet will likely be priced higher due to Valve not having the same purchasing power as Sony/MS.
English

@FATE_NYC @JezCorden @PaulTassi @Forbes microsoft is completely unwilling to keep their games off steam. the logic isnt “Exclusives for me, but not for thee”, it's xbox has no real exclusives anyways, so they might as well go all out already. steam machine is a direct competitor to helix

Why Xbox Won’t Make ‘Elder Scrolls VI’ And ‘Fallout 5’ Exclusive via @forbes forbes.com/sites/paultass…

@OhNoItsAlexx Take Legacy of Kain as an example. I loved that series, but in reality it only sold less than 4M for the series in total. Even with a low $50m budget, a new one likely needs to sell 2-3M @$60 to be profitable. The remaster seems to have been a fart in the wind.

@OhNoItsAlexx Many of those IP’s aren’t relatable to the demographic they’re looking for. Gen X like myself carried them through the 90’s-2K’s, and while I’d love to see some of those great IP come back, they’re likely to bomb with newer audiences.

@PaulTassi Want to play Wolverine? Just buy a PS5. Flip the script. Copy pasta. Done. Sprinkle some PC in there. Et Voila.

I’m telling you, no matter what they may think now, they are not making Elder Scrolls and Fallout exclusive. Also a “faster” Fallout is still probably six years away unless it’s drastically reduced in scale

XBOX is planning to move faster in developing games for their beloved franchises 🎮 This includes: • 'Halo' • 'Fallout' • 'The Elder Scrolls' (via @theinformation)

@JezCorden So many variables to think of, but yes. There would still have to be some short term dependencies though. I have to assume at least 51% MS owned with the rest through IPO.

@tomwarren Had I waited a year to upgrade from my old watch I would have just made it. Not even 4 years old. Dumb.

New ‘Crimson Desert’ Patch Adds A Dragon Alternative, Better Battles via @forbes forbes.com/sites/paultass…

@JezCorden My guess is $999/1199 USD for the 2 models, no controller included…and will still sell out due to low stock. Resale market going to be bonkers.
English

@tomwarren My guess now is $999 USD for the 512 GB model and $1199 for the 2 TB. Both without controllers. The worst part is that it will sell out and people will call it a win.

Valve says it’s ready to launch the Steam Machine this summer. Still no price though. The Steam Frame VR headset is also shipping in the summer theverge.com/games/943657/v…

@JezCorden What, if any, plans do they have to improve the Xbox experience for PC users in usability, feature set, performance, etc.
English

@JezCorden Pulling for you. Hope you have friends/family doing the same.
English

@speranzahoarder @tomwarren The other way to look at this re-release is perhaps building a new and cheaper PC. This costing just as much as a more performant CPU kind of defeats the purpose. Especially when DDR4 RAM is still quite expensive and MB’s aren’t drastically cheaper than AM5.

@JezCorden What year is this? Have you seen the towels they give you in hotels? They’re tiny patches of sand paper.
