Hawaii is a great place to:
✅ Relax 🌴
✅ Unwind 🍹
✅ Prepare for a mission to Mars 👩🚀
On Hawaii’s lava fields 🌋, we tested new technologies and methods future astronauts might one day use to explore the Red Planet and other deep space destinations: go.nasa.gov/2TnrsHz

Even after years of experiments with @SyracuseLava, I still never tire of the orange glow of fresh lava.

@JimBridenstine @NASA We need a “path finding” rover mission to the poles - resource prospector would be good for this and some of the commercial companies have rovers that could carry that payload. This would be in line with what @george_sowers Lunar Mining wksp report stated.

"Dear 2nd Graders,
Your teacher asked me to speak about what girls do on our ship, adding that you all thought only boys could be engineers and that made me a little sad."

Most of this water ice on the Moon lies in the shadows of craters near the poles, where the warmest temperatures never reach above -250°F. With enough ice at the surface, water would possibly be accessible as a resource for future expeditions to explore and even stay on the Moon.

In the darkest and coldest parts of the Moon's poles, ice deposits have been found. At the southern pole, most of the ice is concentrated at lunar craters, while the northern pole’s ice is more widely, but sparsely spread. More on this @NASAMoon discovery: go.nasa.gov/2N1weIE
