Hampstead Heath Ponds are doubling down on "trans inclusion" despite the Supreme Court ruling.
Once again, the feelings of men are being placed above the safety, dignity and comfort of women and girls. Hampstead Heath essentially now has three men's ponds (men's, ladies and mixed - and none specifically for women by permitting this).
I've spoken about this before, but it bears repeating. As a teenager, I competed as a swimmer at national level. The mere thought of having to undress in front of a man still makes me feel physically sick.
At our local leisure centre, the changing facilities were and still are clearly designated: women's, men's, and mixed. Even back then, we had serious problems with men loitering in the mixed changing rooms. Holes were drilled in walls. Mirrors were held under doors. That was years ago. With today's explosion of pornography and the normalisation of fetishistic behaviour masquerading as "inclusivity," I can barely imagine what young women and girls are facing now.
Most women change discreetly, wrapping a towel around themselves beside their locker. The idea of a man being present, spying, waiting for a towel to slip or a glimpse of flesh so he can get his thrill, should horrify every decent person. The men from my swimming days wouldn't have tolerated it. They physically removed a couple of perverts and ensured they were dealt with. Now, women are forced to drag these battles through the courts simply to uphold existing law and basic safeguarding.
Where is the data from the so called "survey" that is being used to justify this?
How many trans-identifying men participated? Were respondents clearly told the stark reality, that only around 2% of trans-identifying men undergo full surgery (though that should make no difference to single-sex spaces)?
Why is a single-sex women’s pond now open to anyone who simply "identifies" their way in? Trans people can use the pond corresponding to their birth sex, or the mixed facility. Trans women are biologically male; trans men are biologically female, regardless of hormones or surgery.
At what point did we collectively decide that feelings should override biology, safety, and basic common sense?
I've said it before and I'll keep saying it. This erosion of women's boundaries isn't kindness. It's a complete failure of courage, cynically dressed up as progress.
What this insanity now enables is disturbing.
Here is a clear example of an obvious male displaying open contempt for women, brazenly demanding the right to ignore the law and female boundaries ⬇️
