@MiguelDelaney CL underlying strategy now is for that not to happen.. unfortunately the chance of a non elite club winning it is sadly gone and unless you are bankrolled by a state or vastly wealthy individual.. it is the preserve of a few clubs.. even now SerieA clubs are unlikely to win it

One of biggest issues with modern CL is how there are no longer exciting challengers that can emerge from non-super clubs, the necessary counters to giants - eg Kyiv 1997-99, Valencia 1999-2001, Lyon 2002-08 etc But are Uefa thinking about this enough? independent.co.uk/sport/football…

@TheOther3Amigos Only Drinan who has started 1 and subbed on come on for 3 games it appears that any substitutions are primarily for injuries or fatigue .. appears that Robson has little or no faith in half the bench 🤔.. let's hope Greg can keep going until at least to July .. as no cover in MF
