Yearning for the good ol' days of the '80s & early '90s 😔

The New Jersey state Senate and Assembly has approved three ICE related bills, sending them to Governor Mikie Sherrill for her signature. The first bill aims to codify the Attorney General’s 2018 Immigrant Trust Directive into law, an order that restricts when state, county, and local law enforcement can aid federal immigration authorities and would prohibit state, county and municipal law enforcement agencies from stopping, questioning, arresting, searching or detaining anyone based solely on actual or suspected citizenship or immigration status. The second bill limits information‑sharing with federal authorities. The bill also places restrictions on when the Motor Vehicle Commission would be permitted to share personal data on drivers. The third bill requires law enforcement to identify themselves when detaining or arresting someone and limits the use of facemasks.

Spartacus is bad acting again.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are expected to assist with security at New Jersey's Newark Liberty International Airport due to the TSA staffing shortages caused by the partial government shutdown. Newark is one of 14 airports nationwide where ICE agents, ordered by President Trump, are expected to be deployed.

ICE couldn’t do the job on our streets—now they’re trying airports? Fund TSA. Not ICE.
