@FootFour4076 We agree on Yaxel though 🤝x.com/generalmanager…

5) Yaxel Lendeborg — Los Angeles Clippers • 30.2 min • 51/37/82 • 15.1p/6.8r/3.2a/1.1s/1.2b/1.1to Overall 2k rating range: 83-97 Player comparison: Aaron Gordon/Ben Simmons/Jalen Johnson GM Zero’s Notes: Yaxel Lendeborg is 24 years old. I understand. However, he is the most complete prospect in this draft class, who has a ton of potential to grow as a player. People look at his age and say he can’t improve further which is just ridiculous to me. Austin Reaves, James Harden, Damian Lillard are all examples of players who improved their skillset after the age of 25. The problem is, people look at improving as adding an entirely new skill, when it’s normally about getting better at the things you are already good at. In Yaxel’s case, he is the best defensive prospect in this draft class and can legitimately guard all five positions. Offensively, he can play on-ball, off-ball, in the post, and as the screener. He is an incredible playmaker, can shoot, can slash, and knows how to score in post up situations. If he cleans up his ball handling and slightly improves his jumpshot, what’s stopping him from being the best player in the NBA? A player this versatile, at 6’10”, 240lbs, 7’4” wingspan, with excellent agility and mobility for his size is incredibly rare and should not be passed up. Yaxel can easily be the best player in this draft class; I would make sure to get him by any means necessary. Team Fit: A+ The Clippers are the best situation for Yaxel Lendeborg since he gets to learn from Kawhi Leonard himself. Kawhi was instrumental to the development of OG Annoy, Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam, and he’s the perfect mentor for Yaxel Lendeborg.

@DATEBAYO___ @jhdnewton15 @GodchamSu That year I had Clingan Reed Sheppard and Cam Spencer at the top of the board Risacher and Sarr I'm incredibly low on and always have been Only one guy can be that focal offensive point, and even then it's better to have him not be a liability on D. That's why OKC elite.

@j_wolfe26 @criggsNBA Wanting to let the board sit for at least a year or two before redrafting. Right now, Knueppel is the only player I feel was too low.

@FootFour4076 @criggsNBA I think you're being disingenuous because you don't want to admit you were wrong, I'm not even a big Ace guy but he's clearly got NBA skills. Do you still have Kalkbrenner top 6?

@kaminski_zach @playfieldsports Some other guy said if Thornton has a better career than Dybansta he'll light himself on fire, you game for that too? 🤣 Either way, we can agree to disagree and check back in a couple years

@FootFour4076 @playfieldsports What are you basing your argument on? He is very versatile, yes, but he also had a high usage rate and did iso a lot. His absolute ceiling is Malcolm Brogdon. Dybansta has an All NBA caliber ceiling

Been a strong believer in these Michigan prospects for a while. Don't think almost anybody projected this team to make Final Four at this point last year? Either way, continued faith is strong in those 3 guys. Coach May got out at the peak and it's a GREAT move for his career.
FourFoot@FootFour4076

Michigan best/projected basketball lineup 25-26: Trey McKenney, Nimari Burnett, Yaxel Lendeborg, Morez Johnson, Aday Mara Best front court in college basketball, unsure on Cadeau and the guard play For me, a projected final four team. Book it.

The Ace narrative has been so crazy this offseason. He got injured to start the year, and then the Jazz wanted to bring him along slowly for a couple months. But, from February-End of season, he was one of the best rookies in the league, in a stellar class of rookies. His March stats are just crazy. Had he played all year, he would have been in the ROY discussion, and made the 1st team (for Rookies). Like, the dude is an absolute baller. I love that people are still sleeping on him.

@Trey_up_Fool Knueppel wasn't high enough. Fears unranked I'm happy with, as he loses more games for the Pelicans than wins.

@bibbyandthebeam I stand on the fact I don't believe in Raynaud as an NBA player. Extremely hard to win NBA games if you don't have a defensive anchor, and Raynaud will never be that.

I love a good out on a limb mock. The fact is nobody knows what to expect and people sort of just gravitate towards narratives about prospects that lead to a lot of similar rankings with little independent thought. And then years later we wonder how mocks got it so wrong.

@jusanothernword he’s a bit of a size merchant. he’s fairly skilled for D1 at 6-9 240 but he’s not the greatest athlete ever. he don’t really have wiggle like that

@j_wolfe26 @criggsNBA If we're talking strictly from a winning basketball team value standpoint, it's better to have an open roster spot than Ace Bailey playing on the court That's what my board looks at, and it doesn't take into account trade value
