Amen at 50M/yr will be albatross contract that will weigh this teams ceiling down for years. He is a great player but is simply undeserving of a max contract and is not a max player.

I am by far in the Sengun > Green camp, to me that’s just a obvious fact I do find it interesting that there was a much stronger tendency to dismiss the spacing issue with Green. Sengun is supposed to cook Ayton even with our spacing. He was one on one often enough, and missed

If the Rockets give Amen Thompson a max contract, it will cripple their future. Excellent player. Championship-caliber player. Not a #1 or #2 option on a contender and therefore not worth max money.
