Correction: 6 candidates were supposed to debate not 5. The qualifying criteria was based on fundraising and polling. In order they ranked: Steyer, Hilton, Swalwell, Porter, and Mahan. Mahan and Steyer are only ranked so high bc of money. The real race is btwn the other 4.

Becerra is polling at 3% but because of him all 40 million of us will be deprived of seeing the top 5 on stage together debating each other for the first time. Because racism. How is California a real state?

I understand that new neighborhoods will not be mature enough to have wonderful canopy trees, duh. But why are they (basically) not planting any trees at all? I think I see four or five baby trees? A new neighborhood rarely looks good, but ones like this will NEVER look good.

@RampCapitalLLC @sircalebhammer In the developments in our area of CA they are at least planting drought tolerant landscapes with oaks and similar trees but they’re very slow growing. Unfortunately though, the yards look terrible as they don’t put any weed cloth down before laying wood chips. Weeds everywhere

@sircalebhammer In our new development we were required to plant at least 3 trees and were asked to keep as many as we could on the property lines. Definitely gives it a less stark and suburbia feel

Over the past six months, I’ve become a total geek about factory-built housing (FBH). At this point I have probably toured more housing factories than any other lawmaker in the country. If FBH can flourish elsewhere, why not California?

@BuffyWicks The state and municipalities add fees to the build. I doubt the cost of this or any other construction is an issue. It’s the regulatory costs and delays that any building in CA more expensive than other states.
