2TB SSD drives are now retailing for $400. Our 2TB Solo Node with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM is $599. Do with that information as you will.

@aginglybald @FutureBit My setup is ridiculous lol and I figure if I ignored the cost. Then it's free (even if it definitely isn't)

@bpp1373949 If you add a worker name to each miner (or use a different payout address for each one) then yes each worker diff is tracked and shown on the solo pool page!

@FutureBit This is amazing news, and thrilled to see so many updates and improvements coming to the ApolloOS finally.. is there currently a way to see each miners best difficulty, or does it only show the current best diff without saying which miner achieved it?

Apollo OS 2.1.1 is in wide release! This is a large bug fix release from beta and OS 2.1 is now available to all devices! Release also includes support for rental hashpower for our Solo Pool service. You can now connect nearly an exahash of hashrate to any Apollo Full Node!

@djamaako Some solo nodes had a UI bug in initial beta release that shipped with some units, in the case you will need to reflash your sd card in the link above!

I have a soft spot for bitcoin-miner heating appliances. I just think the idea that everyone's heaters, BitAxes, and Umbrels are powering Bitcoin is much cooler than billionaires with massive ASIC datacenter farms lobbying the government and such.

@djamaako Hi this depends a lot on whether you rebooted the system after sync, what apps you are running etc. The node is designed to detect extra ram and use it to speed up sync, 8GB is more than enough, it’s just a slower sync time by about 12-24 hours.

@FutureBit Why is my memory usage so high? It was around 5GB recently, but now it's 9GB. If that's normal, then 8GB is way too low for the Apollo III.

@djamaako It won’t by default, but if you give the AI has access the whole system it can have unintended consequences!

PSA: You dont need a Mac mini to run clawdbot... Run it on your Solo Node for half the cost, and now you have your own AI assistant managing your node and solo pool!

Everyone tells you to buy Bitcoin. Almost no one tells you to run it. Apollo III lets one person run a full node, mine from home, and hold their own keys. One node. One miner. One person. That’s not a gadget. It’s an act of defiance. Will you run Bitcoin?

tyrannysaurusrekt - 🪢Knots+BIP110🪢
I already run Knots + #BIP110 + DATUM gateway to build my block templates, and I use them to pool mine with OCEAN I run a standalone knots node at every geographically distinct site at which I have hashpower To be clear: I like the concept of this product very much for other users, it just doesn't fit my use case/current setup If you made one that was just a raw hashing machine without node-embedding, I would buy it
