If it’s about throwing an angel off balance, I have no problem stepping in as the devil.

Pulvis et cinis Even the stars fade to ashes In memory of the Lion of Africa Today I pause to pay tribute to Baba Raila Amolo Odinga—Africa’s greatest son since Nelson Mandela—who has passed on. It is no easy task to eulogize this enigma, a man whose constant presence we once took for granted, assuming he would always be with us. I had the privilege of first encountering him in the pages of history books and later meeting him in person. Though I was a nobody, he granted me an audience with a humility that was truly remarkable. He touched the heavens while keeping his feet firmly rooted on the ground—a feat unmatched by any other figure since Jesus, to the best of my knowledge. While Michael Wamalwa succeeded in taking Jaramogi’s “Simba” from Raila, Tinga, as he was fondly called, tamed the Kenyan psyche and won the hearts of Africans far and wide. Yet, this towering statesman was often misunderstood, inspiring both fervent admiration and intense opposition—Railamania versus Railaphobia. Sadly, the Gen Z, who aspired to be tribeless revolutionaries and propel the nation forward, succumbed to the same Raila dichotomy, particularly Railaphobia. Whether they will ever seize the opportunity to liberate the nation remains to be seen. Much has been said about Baba’s political legacy. Let us now reflect on his closest allies—from Otieno Kajwang to Anyang’ Nyong’o to James Orengo. No one understood Raila better than Orengo, who could distinguish the man’s earthly flaws from his noble spirit. Raila’s body might have sinned, as all humans do, but his spirit remained pure. Perhaps this is why Orengo often turned a blind eye to his friend’s human frailties. Many on social media eagerly await Orengo’s eulogy for his best friend. However, Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o is the one to watch. Having known Baba for most of his adult life, the two were contemporaries who, despite once standing on opposite sides of the political spectrum, reconciled as fate would have it. Though Raila never became president—thwarted by a manipulable democratic system—he pushed the boundaries of legal and political reform to their limits. It is disheartening that some, who would still need to crowdfund for a wedding, dare to disparage him. They fail to recognize that the freedoms they enjoy today are, in large part, thanks to his relentless efforts. As a wise man once said, ignorance in the 21st century is a personal choice—and what a choice it is! As we bid farewell to this enigma, releasing him to join his ancestors, we pray that his transition serves as a rallying call to end tribalism. After corruption, tribalism remains the second-worst cancer afflicting our great nation. Rest in Power, Baba. My heartfelt condolences to Mama Ida, Rosemary, Raila Jr., and Winnie. Mosna Otieno K’ajwang’ gi Shikuku. Jowi! Jowi! Jowi!

My friend Sammy Mudaki who owns 64 Auto Solutions was given a tender to repair Uasin Gishu County vehicles. For 1 year, the county has not been paying him. Today, the Governor sent county askaris (goons) who forcefully came and took away cars from the garage, threatened him and told him there is nothing he can do to them. They have promised to make sure that he is out of business... How can SMEs survive with these hyenas in power surely?

ADVICE TO YOUNG MEN NEWLY EMPLOYED The Amerix community has numerous opportunities for its followers. The connections are always beneficial. During the last Men's Assembly, I witnessed 3 young men being assured of instant employment. Seeing jobless young men being given a new lease of life through these connections is amazing. However, once these young men get the jobs, they vanish. They never give feedback or bother to update their experiences. Only for them to reappear later with sob stories of how they lost their jobs or conditions didn't favour them to continue. Therefore, they need me to connect them to any other available opportunities. This kind of self-entitled attitude is so nauseating and repulsive. I always block these kinds of people when they come to my inbox. So, if you are a young man who has just been employed or has found a short contract, do the following: Please don't blow it once you receive your first salary, payment or profit. • Take 10% to church, mosque, charity, or any structured self-help group to support the weak, sick, needy or meek. • Take 10% and give it to your parents – ( 60% to your Father and 40% to your mother). They can choose to blow it or pay your siblings' fees. • Take 5% and give it to the person who connected you to the job. If it were contractual work, take 10% and give it to the person who connected you to the contract. • Take 10% and save. • Budget the rest (60%) for your expenses ( 35% pay your debts, 25% foot your bills). This is on your FIRST SALARY or PAYMENT. Don't receive the money, and the first thing in your head is a phone, a laptop and alcohol. You will block future opportunities. Don't say, "It is my money, I have worked for it, and I deserve all of it." It is not your money. Nobody owns money. Money is just an idea held in trust by a legal tender called currency. Money is a system of mutual trust and shared belief, enabling cooperation among strangers. Therefore, the most IMPORTANT things here are TRUST and COOPERATION. What would it benefit you to pocket the money and lose the mutual trust and Cooperation? Don't take this for granted. Remember, the war is spiritual. Win it at the spiritual level. Stop sleeping, Wake up! #BetterTogether

Brad Pitt spent years buying up every neighbouring property around his Los Feliz estate. When he acquired the home of an elderly widower named John, already in his 90s, he could have asked him to leave. Instead, he told him he could stay for free for the rest of his life. John ended up living to 105. The story only came out because Pitt’s former neighbour, Cassandra Peterson, mentioned it in passing to People magazine. No announcement, no headlines. Just a good thing done quietly.

This dude tried a flashy double-bottle pour (brown liquor + green drink?) and accidentally flooded his eyes instead. Instant panic, rubbing made it worse—classic fail. That "Iron Man" tough-guy stunt era ended right there. He survived tho, eyes probably fine now. Safer content only after this one! 😂
