(IN MY OPINION) I really do not like this approach of the movies acting as advertisements for the games. That’ll always be the case to a certain extent but I feel like this is pushing it too far. Zero integrity here. Doesn’t feel like Nintendo tbh.

I'm not 100% on board with the idea of a nintendo cinematic universe but I see what they're doing. they're using movies to give their less popular IP broder appeal. Mario Movie will be used as a backdoor for spinoff movies that will help sell games.

The Switch 2 not having an April Direct does surprise me. If it's in June we'll be looking at 9 months since the prior direct. The expectations will be through the roof

Sony's greedy af for raising their price but they clearly couldn't care less if their massive userbase doesn't grow anymore. Nintendo doesn't have that luxury with the Switch 2 yet. I expect they'll fight off a price increase for a lot longer.

@nin10doland I cant believe ive almost spent a year with a new nintendo console and their only big 9/10 game was dk bonanza. Im assuming they thought mk world would be there " botw moment" which fell flat. Ive had every nintendo system to date since 1986 NES when i was a kid

I find it interesting that since the Switch 2 launched, most of Nintendo’s own first party output has had a lukewarm reception. I don’t think this has ever really happened before. Even in the Wii U, the few games released were still critical darlings. A direct is sorely needed.

@BringBackBanjoK The Wii U had brand new games. The Switch 2 has Switch 2 editions Nintendo was able to successfully repackage Wii U games as Switch games because hardly anyone had a Wii U so for them it was brand new games Switch 1 games can easily be replayed without paying more money though
