If you really wanted a personal relationship with Jesus, you’d submit to the Church He founded instead of your feelings, your pastor, or a 500-year-old protest. Jesus didn’t invent denominations. If you are a Catholic this should offend you. President Trump attacking the Catholic Church is completely unwarranted and extremely distasteful. He should be well aware that Catholics account for at least half of the MAGA base. Catholics, like myself, got him elected and many staff his administration. Messaging like this is only going to hurt GOP turnout in the midterms.
