IMO it's the immaturity of the medium and, as a consequence, the immaturity of the audience. It is something that will change with time, I think. Games are not movies and are not consumed like movies. Watching people play games doesn't make money for the developers and that is starting to matter more and more now. Notice how awful the margins are getting and how much the industry is actually contracting? Things are shifting.

It’s this streaming era, people enjoy watching personalities play instead of playing themselves, or play along with their favorite personalities. Ngl it took me a while to adjust to classic Resident Evil after diving into the series after 7 and 2 & 3 remake, so that’s a hurdle as well I feel

It's still murky, but ~4 million views on a video is the inflection point where views stop driving proportional installs for our audience.
At ~4M views, we're breaking VR user containment and are just entertaining viewers.

Maybe people find it strange that I think the USA is doing so well and even in it's decline its prosperity should be cherished and preserved. My perspective the USA could easily fall into a 3rd world country status. If you are struggling now. You'll be even worse off later.
