The Islamic regime has confirmed the death-sentence of 18 year old Melika Azizi was carried earlier today. Melika was arrested in January 2026 during nation-wide protests and charged with "moharebeh" (waging war against god for allegedly burning Islamic regime symbols. As officials at LGA note the first loss of life there in three decades, I am struck by the sad coincidence that it was March 22, 1992 when I covered the deadly crash of USAir Flight 405 at LGA. Exactly 34 years later it was the Air Canada tragic incident. The same sad day 34 years apart.

Three young protesters, Saleh Mohammadi, Mehdi Ghasemi, and Saeed Davoudi, were hanged in Qom after a sham trial. Reports indicate torture. Forced confessions. No access to chosen lawyers. Closed-door proceedings. No right to appeal. I call on @GlobalAthleteHQ to stand with Iranian athletes who are being silenced, imprisoned, and executed simply for raising their voices. This is not just about sports. This is about human dignity.

They say they were embarrassed and confused when they were asked to leave after someone nearby complained. The family insists they had done nothing wrong, but the airline says they were responding to passenger concerns. It raises an uncomfortable question: Should an airline be able to remove passengers over something like body odor, or is that going too far and unfairly humiliating people? Airlines are responsible for keeping the cabin comfortable for everyone, but situations like this can quickly turn into public embarrassment for the people involved.
