AP is stuck in the same arms race. High school kids can take online 101 courses at community college and chatgpt their way to an A. At some point you have to be able to sell kids and parents on "take the harder class and not guaranteed credit", and you can only make it so hard

APs are getting easier, but they are still highly meritocratic compared to not just high school grades but college grades. Most students who get an A in a college class would be lucky to get a 3 on the corresponding AP.

Trump blundered into what he thought would be a few day “excursion” as he calls it, maybe Venezuela 2.0. That is not what Israel had in mind, the military has hit all of its targets. He has no idea what he is doing, his intelligence and other aides were appointed not to tell him anything he does not want to hear; not a single one of them can explain what the goal is. Congressional Republicans have their heads deep in the sand, and now talk of $200 billion Pentagon supplemental and sending more potential ground troops

a waiver could shave ~10–20¢/gal off prices- welcome news for drivers- but it comes with tradeoffs. summer blends exist to reduce volatility and smog, so easing them may mean more pollution and potential performance/stability issues in peak heat
