Crystal Brown of @UW will "assess...how...restorative justice [practices] should be implemented in healthcare settings in response to medical racism," using findings to “inform normative analyses of whether and how broader implementation in healthcare should be considered."

Supported by a Making a Difference grant, she has developed an approach called Better Conversations that empowers patients to make more informed decisions about whether surgery is worth it to them.
