Silk Road Not Dead
Silk Road Not Dead@silkroadnotdead·
"In a world that claims exponential advancement in all areas of human thought 🚀🧠, it is essential to understand that our “evolutionary leap” 🥂 is not only driven by new technologies and artificial intelligence🤖, but also by the forms of consciousness 🌌 that dominate, operate, and build these technologies. 🫴 Multiple discoveries suggest that altered states of consciousness 🌀 have played a role in innovation: Francis Crick and James Watson approached the structure of DNA 🧬 from a creative angle under the influence of LSD , much like Steve Jobs, who openly stated that his psychedelic experienceshelped him “Think Different”🌈 and shaped the mindset behind Apple🍏. Beyond this, substances like ketamine, cannabis 🌿, and MDMA ✨ have also been associated with expanding cognition—suggesting that exploring the mind can act as a catalyst for creativity and technological advancement 🚀. Given humanity’s new nature , it is urgent to establish new rights ⚖️ that protect the freedom of development and action in physical space 🏔️, digital space 🤜🛜🤛, and mental space 🧠, as all these dimensions interact permanently ♾, shaping our reality, its health ♥️, and integrity 🛡️." 🐪Dread Pirate Robert Not Dead🏴‍☠️

@silkroadnotdead Maybe we could get the "erotic" category sponsored by Zara and solve the bureaucratic problem, the algorithm’s outrage 🫣, and the integration of Jehovah’s Witnesses 🛐 into the community.

Silk Road Not Dead
Silk Road Not Dead@silkroadnotdead·
OpenSea Team, User Safety Team, David Finzer We still have not received an answer clarifying why Silk Road Not Dead has stopped appearing in OpenSea rankings, causing panic among many collectors who sold their pieces after seeing what happened. This project reached top positions in the volume and popularity rankings and suddenly disappeared. In its place another imitation collection of ours had appeared, which we reported and was only removed yesterday, but our collection still does not appear. The answers I am receiving from representatives are that they cannot know why the collection does not appear, since it is not banned by you, nor has it been considered explicit material. Without understanding the cause, and believing this could be due to an automated detection by the platform of NSFW content, we decided to modify all images in the “erotic” category, but despite having altered the original work — material that before launching the project you had already seen unmodified and had given us peace of mind that it would not generate any inconvenience (I attach screenshot) — and assuming this concern from your side had been due to the low quality of the images, we launched the project and it revealed and traded normally, multiplying its value by more than 100% in the first hours after mint. But when it disappeared from the rankings, that value gained through the solidity the project had demonstrated and the communities that supported it was quickly put into question when collectors saw the collection was no longer appearing on the platform, and in the face of uncertainty people preferred to sell the project or literally give it away at the present moment, given that two days have passed and the collection still does not appear in rankings where other collections with lower volume and popularity do appear. We simply want to know what is still causing the project not to be displayed correctly and whether there is a way to solve this problem. Whether by removing the erotic category so the algorithm does not detect it and replacing it with other pieces, or relaunching the collection if there is some technical problem inherent to the contract that may have been maliciously modified by someone and is causing it not to display. As we have repeated in previous messages, the collection does not promote acts of violence, drug trafficking or pornography, but rather is an archaeological document that, after presenting it to OpenSea representatives and receiving prior review and approval, we understood would be preserved on your platform without any issue, as you had clarified. We hope to receive a prompt response, since the 10% charged to each user during the launch and the 1% charged on each subsequent purchase and sale constitute a service to those users and creators, and that service is not being fulfilled on your side if you do not offer us an appropriate response to understand the context in which this technical issue has happened and how we can solve it. It also seems important to us that the rest of the community be aware of this event, especially those whom we consider to have a critical and transformative way of thinking and who have fostered the development of art, privacy and decentralization, from whom we ask the dissemination of this news so this can be resolved soon, since we have no other help beyond the help others may be able to give us, and so that the rest of the community becomes aware that this work exists, a work the “algorithm” seems intent on keeping hidden. The Silk Road Not Dead collection constitutes an artistic work within the framework of Net Art and contemporary Dadaist thought. Its proposal is based on the recovery, preservation and recontextualization of historical Internet content that once formed part of a digital ecosystem now gone. Where digital artifacts that were once used for clandestine trade are now re-signified, elevating them into the realm of art to be traded in a different yet equally free market. The project does not promote, facilitate or encourage any illegal activity. On the contrary, it presents this material from an exclusively artistic, documentary and educational perspective. The content has been recontextualized as art, in the same way the Dadaist movement historically appropriated existing objects to assign them new meanings. In this sense, the collection establishes a conceptual parallel with recognized artistic practices, where appropriation and reinterpretation are central elements of the discourse. The collection is grounded in principles of cultural preservation and digital archiving, understanding these pieces as part of the historical heritage of the Internet. Silk Road Not Dead proposes a critical reflection on contemporary questions such as privacy, freedom of expression, digital trade and decentralization. Far from glorifying past activities, the work seeks to generate discussion and offer an artistic perspective on one of the most influential digital phenomena of recent decades. In this context, the removal or censorship of the collection represents not only a limitation placed upon an artistic work, but also a loss of access to a cultural archive and therefore to a part of our culture. @XCOPYART @beeple @Vince_Van_Dough @CharlotteFang77 @killeracid @Matt_Furie @joepease @Tabcorp_HR @verse_works @toadswiback @dfinzer @opensea Please share if you can. Thank you.

Silk Road Not Dead
Silk Road Not Dead@silkroadnotdead·
@OpenSea @dfinzer please fix the visibility of our collection so it appears in the rankings. The conversations I’ve had with your representatives are not resolving the problem our entire community is facing. The Silk Road Not Dead collection constitutes an artistic work within the framework of Net Art and contemporary Dadaist thought. Its proposal is based on the recovery, preservation, and recontextualization of historical Internet content that was once part of a now-defunct digital ecosystem. Each piece in the collection is not merely an image, but a cultural document that includes metadata linking to recovered original pages. These pages contain images, descriptions, and original HTML code, transforming each token into a complete historical record. The project does not promote, facilitate, or encourage any illegal activity. On the contrary, it presents this material from an exclusively artistic, documentary, and educational perspective. The content has been recontextualized as art, in the same way that the Dadaist movement historically appropriated existing objects to assign them new meaning. In this regard, the collection establishes a conceptual parallel with recognized artistic practices, where appropriation and reinterpretation are central elements of the discourse. Furthermore, the content used is public and anonymous in nature, without infringing copyright, privacy, or applicable regulations. The collection is grounded in principles of cultural preservation and digital archiving, understanding these pieces as part of the historical heritage of the Internet. Its publication and circulation do not violate national or international laws related to copyright, data protection, or cybercrime. Silk Road Not Dead also proposes a critical reflection on contemporary issues such as privacy, freedom of expression, digital trade, and decentralization. Far from glorifying past activities, the work seeks to generate discussion and offer an artistic perspective on one of the most influential digital phenomena of recent decades. In this context, the removal or censorship of the collection represents not only a limitation on an artistic work, but also a loss of access to a meaningful cultural archive. The collection does not pose a risk to users or to the platform; rather, it contributes value from a historical, artistic, and educational standpoint. For all the reasons stated above, we believe that Silk Road Not Dead meets the necessary standards to be displayed on the platform, and we respectfully request a review of the decision to remove it, recognizing it as a legitimate work within the contemporary digital art ecosystem. 🔗
