@isojay914 “Stat pad efficiency” and it’s hunting efficent shots? This probably the worst logic I’ve heard. A big part of what makes someone a good scorer is shot shot selection/creation. Being able to consistently get to an efficient shot makes you a better scorer

Harden is proof that you can stat pad efficiency by being a high volume three point shooter. Harden wasn’t even a great three point shooter or an insane finisher but since he took a high volume of the “most efficient “ shots in basketball his ppg+ts look better than his scoring really was. I had this conversation with

@isojay914 Brunson literally hasn’t had a single playoff scoring run that clears Harden’s Houston playoff average: 29.8 IA points per 75 on +4.2 rTS. Not a single run

@isojay914 Using that Boston team as an example is funny considering they always concede the switch and they’ll let him play 1 on 1

@BeardinGoat @IVpointplays CP3 was washed until he fixed his health with that plant based diet so it wouldn’t have mattered. If the TWolves were smart and took those 4 firsts for Jimmy they would have had a chance

I’m imagining James harden with his lack of offball game and mid range creation going up against Jrue holiday Jayson Tatum and Derrick white then going up against Caruso Dort and jdub. Those two teams probably spank the rockets. OG mikal give him hell too. Imagining Clint capela checking KAT.

@isojay914 Boston maybe, OKC no. Lakers yes. Knicks no. Bucks no. Nuggets no.

@NBAALLACCESS3 Where do you think he is? Cuz I’ve seen him ranked in the 10-15 range and that’s probably about where he belongs

I really don’t like where i am seeing Donovan Mitchell being ranked at on a lot of these ranking posts He had a really good season then made the conference finals … just strange to see how low he is on a lot of these rankings

@ShaxNBA “Look at his playoff runs” and it’s him scoring 26ppg on league average efficiency while providing little else offensively and being the worst defender on the court. What possible argument could he have to be in Jokic conversations? 4th quarter scoring? Let’s be serious

Why can't he be in the class of Giannis, Jokic, and Shai? Look at his playoff runs, and the last 3 games of the Finals. Averaged 37 on elite shooting vs one of the best defenses in the league. This is MVP caliber. You can believe what you like, won't fight it anymore. Something to think about
That Rabbit Guy@Son_ImSleep

Y’all are putting Brunson in convo’s he don’t belong in while keeping him out of convo’s he’s actually to good for. Yes he’s over A.I and Kyrie, no he’s not in the class of Giannis, Jokic and Shai

@ash4nd1021 If what I’m seeing is right JH has shot 25 or more times in the playoffs 5 times. And in 191 playoff games he’s shot 15 times or less 96 times which is half. For me personally, just me, he has way too many moments where his will comes into question

@ArtemisTheVoice @one4ghost Not only is this a career graph, all it showing is scoring volume and efficiency in the clutch. It doesn’t determine who’s the best player unless you think DMitch > Bron

@one4ghost Can you read? Harden had more TURNOVERS than FIELD GOALS MADE for much of the playoffs and is BELOW Donovan Mitchell on the same team….so are you stupid or do you just not understand graphs?

I'd do anything for Harden to be able to play teams like the 25 Wolves & 26 Cavs in the CF's in his prime, instead he went up against dynasties/champs every year so we have to watch much worse players accomplish "more" with much easier pathways and get annointed off it
lvd@one4ghost

People will never be normal about Harden and they'll put any guard who wins a title over him all-time because they are programmed to only evaluate players through team results without factoring in opponent strength, injury luck, teammate help, etc.

@BiasedHouston Terrible take. Idk how we’ve gotten to a point where one player can perform better than another, but because they’re held to higher standards the worse player is considered better

@orv7404 @ash4nd1021 Losing in the 2nd round to a 47 win team after beating Philly with a 50% Embiid while Brunson has 53 TS%? The difference in standards are hilarious cuz this would be considered a bad playoff run for Harden

@ash4nd1021 flawed bc Brunson carried that severely injured 2024 squad with josh hart being his second best player against Philly. They even lost OG against the pacers and Brunson got hurt multiple times and came back. That run alone is more impressive than any run I’ve seen from harden

Shocker Nigga who’s minutes are constantly against the best offensive and defensive players on the opposing team has a worst on off than niggas who abuse bench lineups
Carson Breber@Carsobi

Numbers below are since last season (it's actually worse for this year alone). It's extremely difficult to build a truly elite team when your best player is one of the worst defenders on the planet, and probably impossible when your second star is also an awful defender. Knicks.
